The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Scamfighter seems to be connected to the scam that this thread is all about. His posts make no sense and only seem to be saying that this NamePros.com site is involved with some kind of scam and connected to the domain TheNamePros.com, which is laughable since that domain just forwards to some unknown hosting company. I think someone from Namepros.com need to step in and put this guy in his place....!

Is not Namepros.com and is not connected to Namepros.com...!!!

Thanks RJ for sharing it with us. namesaleshop.com seems another so-called 'manual domain appraisal' scam site.

ScamFighter I have a very strong suspicion that it was indeed you sending out the spam emails. Youy seem to have a very serious problem. I take it you were previously banned or are disgruntled for being caught out.

I don't have any problems. You are trying to accuse me in spam to protect your scam. Very smart tactics.

WTF is your problem? So first its namepros scamming now its me. The more you are arguing the more I am convinced that you certainly are a spammer/scammer with a grudge.

I can't remember seeing a real troll here at Namepros.com before. I used to see them a lot in the past when I spent time of different webmaster forums.

If the admins are not going to ban ScamFlamer I respect that decision, but I think it's time for the rest of us to just ignore him and not respond in any way to his posts.

The scammers have nerve, they even post their crap here.
I really think a pack of Albanian thugs should take care of them for good

He sent an email from this address [email protected]
by the name of Carl Goulton

Here is the email he sent:

Soory, Rod. But I see you have a good collection!
Can you accept 28,000 USD? for the following package: affiliatearmada.com USD $497.00 affiliatecloaking.com USD $397.00 affiliatecloners.com USD $397.00 affiliatecoaching.com USD $7,997.00 affiliateincome.com USD $19,997.00

I have a 50,000 USD budget for 5-7 domains. Do you have a certified
valuation for your domain names? My accountant and tax services need the
certified valuation. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed without a certified
valuation of price. I mean valaution of domain not a valaution of a web site
or traffic. Of course, we must engage a valuation company with a REAL manual
service. So I will only accept valuations from independent sources I and my
accountant trust.

To avoid mistakes I asked domain experts about reputable valuation
companies. Please check this blog with suggestions from other sellers and
buyers:
Domain Talk

If, for example, the valuation comes higher you can adjust your asking price
accordingly. It will be fair. I also hope you can give me 12% - 15%
discount.

After you send me the valuation via email (usually it takes 1-2 days to
obtain it) we'll continue our negotiations. Do you sell domain with a web
site or just the name? Domain without content is ok with me. Web site is not
necessary.

What is your preferred payment method: Escrow.com, International wire
transfer, PayPal.com or something else?

Hope we can come to an agreement fast.

Looking forward to your response.
=============================================

Beware! Beware! Beware!

This guy needs to be drawn and quartered 8-X and he can't even spell valuation right!

Pass it on

Rod

I just pretty much got the same email from this individual. He wants to buy a domain which I don't even own. I found that kind of strange so I entered his email into google search and this thread popped up. His email is [email protected]. Bigtime scam and I responded to him real nicely.

Hello,

I've seen your domain for sale. Then I've found your email via WHO IS to
contact you direct. Please email your price.

If you have a list of other domains for sale, please send the list with
prices in plain text. We prefer "dot coms" and easy-to-remember names.

Thanks for posting about this new version. It may or may not be the same person.

But I want to encourage EVERYONE that gets an email like this to report it as SPAM. Fraud is hard to prove, but the SPAM speaks for itself. If we can keep reporting these scams as SPAM, the hosting providers will close their accounts and make it harder and harder for them to find victims.

Anyone who is not sure how to report spam effectively, please send me a PM and I will help you...! :)

Another example from [email protected]

I have received a similar unsolicited scam email from Carl Goulton <[email protected]>, reproduced below:

I think he is going after new registrations as the domain to which he is referring was only registered a couple of days ago.
