Am I going to be banned from Adsense?

I have to confirm my account before I can collect the money in my account (quite a bit). So I'm waiting on the letter I'm supposed to be getting from them before I can do that.

So let's say I was surfing my own site and accidently clicked on one of the ads (let's say the ad was so intriguing that I completely forgot it was my own adsense)

So my question is, what are the chances google will pick up on this? If they do, since I've never done this before, will g~oogle be sympathetic or is my money doomed?

Google can tell when its the publisher clicking the ads. They know your ip when you log in to check stats. Then if they see that ip click an ad it sets a flag. Not rocket science. Dont ever click your ads, its way to easy to be banned.

I have accedently clicked a ad, not because I wanted to, but I got going to fast and the compuer locked and I clicked. When it unfroze it opened the ad. I would never email them stating this, as I truely beleive they know already. They will discount that click and thats all.

If you email them you just bring it to the attention of a live person, who can just shut you down. Just leave it to their system as it does know whos clicking what and will pay accordingly.

If you are really interested what ads is Google sending to your site I would recommend installing the AdSense Preview Tool. Using that tool you can see not only desplay url but also the target url.

I would and have done. They are very forth coming when you do this and at least it shows then that you dont mean to do it.

No, I didn't get an EMAIL, I got the confirmation letter I needed with my PIN in the mail. All I needed to do was log on and put the pin in and they would've paid me. At least I know what to look for in my inbox now.
