All Small PPC's are scams?

Here's why I think all the smaller PPC programs are scams... Please feel free to enlighten my ignorance:

1. In order to run a PPC company, you must hire people to deal with the advertisers - which costs money.

2. You're susceptible to high dollar law suits for fraud (even Google get's sued on a regular basis).

3. Advertisers are charged pennies for words that typically cost $5, $10, $20, $50, even $100+ dollars per click.

4. The traffic is usually garbage (just check your stats and/or conversion rates).

So why do these facts suggest they are fraud? Here's why.... If these smaller PPC search engines were really receiving the type of traffic they claim, then why in God's name wouldn't they simply use Adsense for their results (the same way ask.com does, for example)?

Think about it... they would not have to hire people to deal with advertisers (saving money), they would not be as susceptible to click fraud suits (saving money), and finally, they would make more money per click *** EVEN after splitting the money with Google, they'd still be way ahead.

I've never heard a good rebuttal for this... it's seem so obvious that it's all fraud. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?

At the end of the day its up to both the advertiser and publishers to determine for themselves if the program is working for them. Thats really what its all about. If a PPC program can effectively make publishers and advertisers happy then there isnt an issue.

Not an easy feat to accomplish, especially with PPC considering all the click fraud. In that respect its up to the PPC program to have processes and some sort of system in place to combat click fraud. Anyone that can do that to a resonable level is well on their way to having a successful PPC program becuase the results will be fair and reasonable to both publisher and advertiser.

small ppcs are owned by small webmasters so when they dont get advertisers they close their comapnies this leads to as a scam for people but if they get advertisers with profit then they continue for ever

Well if they do close they should be refunding advertiisers, its that simple. If they are not it just goes to show that their business planning for their project was flawed to begin with.

Neither do I.... most people would have a genuine vision of having a successful PPC program.

I'll admit - the ones worth buying ads on are far and few between. I've tested many over the years , some were just sending Traffic exchange traffic - Some never sent any traffic.

If the PPC engine has a "default" or "catch-all" Category or Keyword ... obviously this is where they focus most of their traffic. A "Work at home" PPC engine would be useless looking for "Games" traffic etc ...

It's really hard to sort them all out - I've gone back and looked at a few I actually had luck with (As an advertiser only) and they seemed to be losing ground if not competely dead.

I don't think most are frauds, some are, espically the one that tell you you have to put min if $50 or more. I had more luck with smaller ppc company than bigger one like google and yahoo,

I also share that experience.

I agree. If you don't get results then you wont continue to spend. I've actually got better results from smaller PPC's as an advertiser. Also what do you consider small? Just because you haven't heard of them? There are PPC search providers that have been around longer than google has as far as PPC is concerned that is. May even go as far as saying longer than they been in existance.

Usually if small ppcs dont have advertisers, then just just put on google ads.. But usually small ppcs dont pay at all...

I think a nice alternative to using a smaller PPC is adbrite.com ..... You can choose the site you want your ad to appear on, you pay for a length of time rather than PPC, it just seems like the opportunities for fraud are much, much less.

Yes I completely agree. But beware of inactive publishers when you buy ads.
