By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

My Afternic rep was able to manually move this forward today.

It's reassuring to have a go-to contact. Ideally, though, they'd spot problems early and resolve them before customers feel the need to air their frustration on social media.

Yeah, I agree.

I am wondering what would have happened if I didn't make proactive contact.

The most recent update otherwise was -

Change of Registrant​

This transaction requires a "Change of Registrant" form to be filled and signed by you. A Transaction Assurance Agent will reach out to walk you through this in the next 2 business days.

That was on 10-18.

They keep experimenting with landings, but they've completely forgotten about Reg Path.

It's still full of ridiculous "estimated values", "searches per year", "average sale prices" and other nonsense that only scares buyers away.

Maybe they don't even realize that they are not just a marketplace but also a registrar. And at least half of potential buyers probably come through Reg Path rather then landing pages.

So what's the point of trying to improve one channel while making the other worse?

Fire them all and and hire (or rehire) Laszlo. He'll build a team and fix all these issues within a few days.

Or hire someone from this forum. Even the guy who was selling SpicyPickles would do a better job.

Laszlo joined SIDN in March 2026 as marketing and sales manager for Hello Registry, the new registry platform from SIDN and CIRA.

I have still have no idea what triggered this "change of owner form" response, but it was clearly not needed.

They're still "looking" at mine. How many days did yours take to get resolved? Mine was sold October 16.

The seller's landing page choice has to be respected, full stop.

I'm seeing the ugly Buy-It-Now lander for my Custom Landers, too.

@GoDaddy Experiment with your own GoDaddy NameFind domains, not with Afternic sellers' names.

The landers are back to normal.

I think the older one was Saturday night to Friday, end of day. But, that is probably only because of my contact.

I am not sure what would have happened if I didn't initiate contact. Maybe nothing.

At a certain point I'm dropping this transaction and deleting the domain, and Afternic can deal with an angry customer and a refund.
