Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

How am I supposed to verify a domain when the "request ownership verification" button does not even exist in my dashboard? It was fixed for a while after the issue was escalated, but it is now happening again.

@Afternic @GoDaddy

Delete and relist again, request ownership verification should show if needed .

Try clicking the "Ownership Verification Required" tab up the top first, and then select your domain again and see if that helps:

There was a time I was able to bulk verify ownership in the resolution center, but now it's just one by one??

At least the new API is live...
api

https://api.afternic.com/docs/portfolio-api/

It can't verify domains in the Resolution Center, though. The API has no verification or Resolution Center endpoints, only listings, bulk jobs, stats, settings and sales.

What a time waster this new Afternic NS Missing is. I am spending too much time doing something dumb for something that is not working right.

I just sold a domain on Afternic and instead of being asked for a Transfer Code, I get this email:

"This transaction requires a "Change of Registrant" form to be filled and signed by you. A Transaction Assurance Agent will reach out to walk you through this in the next 2 business days."

Has anyone had this happen to them, and why would a "Change of Registrant" form be required for such a simple, low-dollar transaction that I've completed lots of times at Afternic using a transfer code?

In many hundreds of sales via @GoDaddy, this is the first time I have seen this.

This sale was from last weekend. Still waiting on an update from @Afternic.

In the meantime, there has been another sale. It is in the same status.

(2) sales for $10K total.

Waiting…

"Not to mention, @Afternic doesn't seem all that responsive."

Tell me, why aren't you responsive, @GoDaddy?

This has still not been resolved @GoDaddy. It involves (2) sales for $10k.

No one from Afternic reached out to me, so I contacted my rep at Afternic.

Yesterday, I was asked to unlock and manually provide the AUTH code via the "message agent" feature.

The status shows - "Awaiting Transfer Instructions". The transfer has not started yet.

I still have no idea what is going on, or why all of a sudden this "Change of Registrant" form thing happened.

I'm looping in @GoDaddy here too, since this whole thread includes useful seller feedback worth passing along internally.

I hope their communication is better with the buyer that it is with me, the seller.

Otherwise, the buyer bought the domain last weekend and also has no idea what is going on.

At any point in time GoDaddy For Sale Landers have dozens of experiments running on them (they start with a small portion of Namefind traffic and successful variations expand from there). Lately we have been testing some different UX designs as some noticed in other threads last…

Seeing these new BIN landers on my domains without LTO despite being set to custom lander.

The seller's landing page choice has to be respected, full stop.

I'm seeing the ugly Buy-It-Now lander for my Custom Landers, too.

@GoDaddy Experiment with your own GoDaddy NameFind domains, not with Afternic sellers' names.

My Afternic rep was able to manually move these forward today.

The first domain was transferred to NameCheap. The second was just moved to another GoDaddy account.

I have still have no idea what triggered this "change of owner form" response, but it was clearly not needed.

It also obviously doesn't involve the registrar because one was moved and one stayed at GoDaddy.
