By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

The big problem most of us have is how incredibly slow this process is.

For example, you get a real buyer with a serious offer, then send a counter to the broker and it can takes days or even a week for him/her to finally send that price to the buyer. Even GoDaddy themselves admonish sellers that "Not sending in an Offer within 24 hours could adversely affect the sale", yet they fail to practice what they preach.

It can become infuriating sometimes, as Afternic/GoDaddy doesn't have an importance/priority level on their message system, and a seller idlily wondering why a lead has gone dead gets the same level of attention as a $25,000 counter to a $10,000 offer. Their brokerage system seems to be a FIFO system with no filters or automation (everything is a text message) and there are not enough brokers to handle the influx.

I prefer to use price request at Afternic over the custom lander but a lot of times it takes so long for any updates inside the Afternic control panel that I'll switch the lander to Custom lander just so I know the buyer can see the buy it now and LTO if they type it in without having to wonder if the buyer is receiving slow broker updates like myself since nothing is updated inside the control panel.

I sold a domain on the 22nd Aug 2025 via Lease-To-Own transaction but I have yet to receive my first payout from the Afternic TA Team. I checked your website Help Centre and it says for buyer's payment on 22nd of the month, the seller should receive the payout the 7th of the following month. It is 8th Sep 2025 in my local time and I have not received my first payout. Can you guys kindly check your payment team regarding this matter?

Today the GoDaddy appraisal tool is just spitting out similar available names to register instead of giving an actual appraisal.

I just randomly checked some of my domains pointing in Afternic.

I have set the landers to Buy It Now (BIN) by default.

Almost half of my domains are loading to the Request Price page.

I haven't change anything in my account for months now.

Anyone else seeing this?

I have the "custom lander" as default and tested and many domains are showing the "price request" lander

I was also seeing the price-request lander -- but something just happened and now I'm seeing the CUSTOM Lander on most of my names

I never visit my landers.

But I just check this and some of my domain names are showing the RP landers. Some are still showing my correct Custom Landers of BIN+LTO.

I Just checked about 10 names -- ALL took a very long time to load. Results were some got a "Not Secure" message from google chrome. Some eventually showed the proper Custom Lander.

I am using the NS1 and NS2 Nameservers (not NS3/4 NS5/6). My location is in the USA.

Same here, super slow resolving and some have SSL errors in Chrome. Explains why August was even worse than usual.

Default lander never worked there for me
But is very easy to select all names with 2 clicks and force BIN lander for all, this works ok.
Personally i saw best results with the custom lander with the DAN design with BIN + MO

This domain is clearly not actually for sale.

It's fully developed and registered at Netsol.

How did it get the "verified domain" label?

I went through the charade of buying it, fully expecting a refund.

What is the point of being a "verified domain"?

Those who have Boost activated are entitled to deceive buyers with a ”verified domain” badge. Nothing to do with verification per se.

So, the "verified domain" label just means someone is using "Boost".

The label is absolutely meaningless then, especially as a buyer.

@GoDaddy took a useful feature and made it useless...while charging extra for it.

Once upon a time verified meant it had fast transfer enabled. That incredibly beneficial feature for both buyers and sellers got stripped away in order to show that the seller... pays for afternic boost.
