This issue remains unresolved, unfortunately.
Hi
@Future Sensors,
We have something that's upcoming to resolve this. We'll check in on the status of this with the team.
I appreciate the response(s), but what I gather from other postings, it has been non functional for months. I feel like it's a 'hurry up and wait' situation.
A name was just sold and it was parked with LTO but the term of the lease is way too long...my fault as I entered (left in place) the wrong figures. But, I have to pay double commission...not making me happy...because the 5% link is defunct.
However, I pride myself on being a man of my word and I went thru with the transfer an hour from the time I got the email from Afternic assurance. I approved the transfer at/on: 10 May 2025 07:31am America/New_York.
Yesterday, I was getting ill at Afternic as I heard nothing from them so I sent an email...overnight, at 'May 13 at 3:15 AM' I get the transfer order from Dynadot.
For future reference, it would be interesting to know at which end the delay in processing originated.
Not a big deal really, as long as there is smooth sailing from here on out. The sales I had previous, using the checkout link, seemed to move along more quickly.
My poor names have been moved around so much in the last 2 years and it would be nice to find a nice safe and cozy place to leave them. Dan fit the bill...but oh well. I'm pleased at Dynadot for the most part, especially with my rep, but their increased first payment confuses the average person so I'm moving away from their landers for BIN. Might look into Atom...of course Godaddy/Afternic is an option but the 10% leaves a bad taste...a really bad taste when it is a higher priced name.
I know you have nothing to do with policy, programming, etc. at Godaddy, but it would be nice if we could get a a firm date, no matter how far out, when the dust will shake out and the platform is 'fixed'. I've got less than 2,500 names, but if the 5% BIN option does not come back soon, I've got to find another place to handle my transactions.
EDIT/ADD: The first payout arrived...fast movement once Godaddy got the name...still not sure where delay occurred.
Thanks for your feedback,
@Mister Funsky. We'll be reintroducing Lease to Own on Custom Checkout Link within the coming weeks. When we switched Custom Checkout Link to GoDaddy URLs, we initially focused on Buy it Now sales (5%). We're nearly ready to bring Lease to Own back to Custom Checkout Link.
How about the ability to cancel the sale when the buyer does not pay. Right now it sits forever as pending sale.
We'll be sharing this with the team to review, thanks
@Bearded Goat!
Hello Afternic, I'm just wondering if I should have relied on afternic rep for a sale.
Last week I got a mail from an afternic rep concerning an offer on one of my domains listed for $5000. The mail claimed that the buyer offered $2500 and that they have been on a several talk with the buyer to increase their offer but that unfortunately this was the best they arr willing to pay at the time. I went ahead to counter and requested $3500 but since then nothing has happened again.
My question is, does afternic team first go into several negotiations with a buyer before contacting the seller? If so, I am worried that I should have gone with the offer even though the domain name is worth more. In this case, is there something I can still do to get the buyer to buy at their initial offer?
Hi
@austinemarks,
By default, new leads are directed to our expert brokerage team to work on and close. As long as you have a Buy it Now price set so that our broker understands your price expectations, they'll start engaging with the potential buyer and keep you updated with any offers they receive for your consideration.
Your broker is likely waiting to hear back from the potential buyer. A useful tip for future reference is to set a Floor price for your domain names through your portfolio page (afternic.com/domains).
A Floor price indicates the lowest price you're willing to accept for each domain name, which is often lower than the Buy it Now price.
@Paul Nicks I just donโt get why the first thing GD/AN ask a potential domain buyer, when they click on the Self Broker โmake offer linkโ isโฆ.do you want to buy this domainโ?
Seems there should be better language likeโฆdo you want to make an offer on this domain? Some may freak out and think they are paying full price for the domain. If they get past that, then they get the third degree survey! Just let them make their offer. I want to stay with GD/AN, but the roadblock for sales is making it hard.
If I remember right with Dan, they just clicked the link to make an offer. If they make an offer, it can be decided whether their finance choice like credit card or whatever is good or not. Competition is coming hard if common sense buy options are not changed to make it one click buy or make offer. Potential buyers need zero friction to the process.
Also, after signing on to the domain club and selling our domains without the help of a broker, commissions should be 5-10% lower for self brokerage. Thanks Tim
Hi
@End Game,
What you're seeing is the post-inquiry survey. It's been part of the Request Price lander flow for several years and has undergone rigorous testing. It's now also part of the Custom Lander offer flow for Self-Brokerage.
The aim is to qualify buyers and provide you with additional information about your lead, accessible through your Self-Brokerage negotiation area.
We've tested and continue to test various questions, wording, the number of questions, and more within the post-inquiry survey to ensure you're spending your time negotiating with qualified, interested buyers.
Your feedback is appreciated and noted - it's an aspect of the lander product that we monitor very closely.
If you're interested in knowing more about the post-inquiry survey, you can take a look at the Afternic blog:
https://blog.afternic.com/balancing-lead-quality-and-quantity/
i am struggling to find a way to 'change case' of one of my existing listings.
what if we have a change case option next to the domain name in 'edit listing'.

Hi
@OceanKing,
You can individually adjust CamelCasing via your lander settings area:
https://www.afternic.com/domains/[insert-domain-here]/details?view=settings
For bulk adjustments, use the "Display Name" column in the
bulk upload template to modify your names.
@GoDaddy Does your system assign domains from different price ranges to different brokers? I've noticed that domains valued around $1,000 are being assigned to one broker (name on pm). Please confirm whether he is an active broker and whether this isnโt some sort of error. Since April 20th, about 7 leads for various domains have ended with a โstalledโ status after three messages from broker side, each without any response from the buyer.
Hi
@Andrut,
That's not the case - although domains might be assigned to international brokers based on the location of your potential buyer. Feel free to DM us the name for further assistance.
And we're not back.
So finally get auth email, click Authorize, check domains and Fast Transfer is now on.
Now today, all domains are in Pending Review with Fast Transfer off.
I also added 2 fresh, never on Afternic domains today few hours ago. No auth email yet. Update - This worked today, just arrived.

Also, and other people have mentioned seeing this on the:
https://www.afternic.com/dashboard page
I have a domain that I sold back in 2023 just not wanting to leave my afternic homepage, I guess it's attached to me
You have 1 inquiry on your domains for sale
| Domain | Date Updated | Broker Activity |
|---|
| domaineditedout.com | 2023-10-19 | Message Received (1) |
Can't make it go away, it has another owner now, it's like some stalker domain.
Hi
@JB Lions,
We'll take a look at this lead to understand why it's showing up for you. Thanks for providing additional information via DM this week - our team has investigated your Fast Transfer issue.
i have another small question.
When the sale lander is "Request Price" why should gd search path shows "Make Offer".
It should be "Request Price" is it?

Hi
@OceanKing,
GoDaddy doesn't have a Request Price function through search. If your domain name doesn't have a Buy it Now price listed, GoDaddy will allow potential buyers to make an offer through our brokerage team.
@GoDaddy
I'm unable to export my portfolio, it seems it's buggy for big portfolios...
Thanks
@davidc1, we'll let your account manager know, to see whether they can assist you with a portfolio export. We'll also get this investigated.
