Why was DAN able to process payments on the same day, often within a few hours, with a much smaller team, while Afternic cannot?

Another round of bugs at GD/AN

1. index page shows 404 and tells to go to ... index page

2. auction cart issues: added names from closeouts, they kept showing and disappearing. Trying to remove one (on the rare occasion that it showed) resulted in total amount not changing. Refresh showed an empty cart. Retrying after few minutes showed the names including the deleted one. Bought finally just like that... Hot mess that must be hurting our own sales via GD/AN.

3. Adding names from GD to AN creates a whole new/old bunch of bugs and issues... The verified unique ns is ignored. You have to delete, reverify, readd... This time though after deleting and trying to re-add it said that the names are ... already in my account )))))))))))) Had to go and re-add via GD. Just so tired and annoyed finding daily new creative ways against new roadblocks set by GD/AN. It is like I am stuck in some weird game or something.

4. My daily Afternic FT names stopped arriving since Feb 15. The manual kick by rep brought some via 2 emails today, but the regular ones are still missing. They are not in my spam box either. Interestingly, I was getting 1 lumpsum FT email a day, but then, in GD/AN tradition of never leaving working things alone it went to 5-6 emails a day, often containing just 1-2 names multiplying my work and now completely disappeared.

Regarding the Afternic issues you've mentioned in the thread, your account manager looked into the Fast Transfer emails on Monday, and there are no failures that we could see; emails are being sent.

For verification, if you have specific examples, please let us know, and we'll happily check them out.

If you click it the only option is "What makes this domain name valuable?" then it generates an AI description for the name and the button "Buy Now" at the bottom which takes the name to checkout.

This is our latest AI experiment, following our AI pricing feedback on the domain details page. This AI provides specific answers to a common question about aftermarket domains, which we'd anticipate will contribute to an increase conversion rates. Of course, there's plenty more that we can do with this feature in the future, along with implementing AI more thoroughly throughout Afternic!

Congrats on your latest Afternic sale! The domain you're referring to, as you can see in the Whois, was purchased through one of Afternic's distribution partners. For sales that occur through GoDaddy, we can often pay out almost immediately. However, for partner network sales, the standard timeline is 7-10 days due to the necessary fulfillment process.

That's ridiculous. As I said, DAN paid the same day, often within hours. The buyer is already in posession of the domain immediately. Afternic also fails to adhere to its stated policy of scheduling payment within 1-3 business days. I am seriously disappointed. Why can't working with you be a pleasant experience? Then I'd love to do more business with you.

@GoDaddy why limit AskAi to one question and why no option for user to ask question?

Does this mean there won't be a chat support on the landing page or phone number?

Today, one of my domains disappeared from my account and moved to someone else's account.

This is the second time I've encountered the same issue in a few weeks. This is not acceptable at all, as most of my domains are on the Fast Transfer network. What if I didn't notice it and it got sold?!

I couldn't wait for the support to handle this because the name is active on the Fast Transfer network, as I mentioned above. So I took the Nameservers down, re-added TXT records, and re-verified & relisted it again.

Please make sure no one can add or move a domain on Afternic without verification.

What is the procedure for getting names approved and added that fall in this category? As far as I know, there is not one. I would be happy to use the Afternic NS3 verification option. The rejected names from today are even in my GoDaddy account so verification should be easy.

I have asked various contacts about this. I have not received an answer. It seems to be that rejected names remain rejected. Override by a person at AN/GD may be possible. I've seen that before but that's not efficient or elegant. And right now I'm not seeing that happen.

Whoa, very bad news as anything you put Afternic/GoDaddy nameservers on will be making someone else money. Not cool.

Correct. I do not use parking lander for names like this but people do. And I probably have at times.

It was a real pain getting them removed back in the day WITH a SmartName account. I can't even begin to imagine how much more of a pain it is now.

@Afternic @GoDaddy I recently began receiving payments through Wire Transfer instead of ACH Transfer.

Afternic deducts $26 from the payout amount for wire transfer fees. Additionally, the payment service they use, Tipalti, sets the wire transfer fees to "Shared," which will deduct another $13 from the amount I receive. This means that Afternic charges me 1.5 times the total wire transfer fees.

What do you call that?

Interesting question. Of course, there's no email or notification or anything. The worst part is that this name is currently at Porkbun because, from my experience, all the names I sold with Fast Transfer at Porkbun were transferred out of my account without notification. In this case, if I didn't pay attention, my domain could've been sold, someone else could've gotten paid, and I'd probably never know about it!

I contacted @Porkbun last month regarding this and haven't heard from them since then. On the other hand, Dynadot always sends an email notification that my domain is being transferred away from my account because it has been sold on the Afternic Network.

When you notice a domain has vanished from your portfolio, you should be excited because it means it has sold! But in my case, there was no email from Afternic, and when I checked the domain lander, it was listed on Afternic with different options!

And to answer your question, how did I find out?

1- I always keep an eye on the total number of my listed domains on all marketplaces compared to my offline list of domains.

2- If I notice a domain or more domains are missing, I go to "All Domains" in my Afternic account and export all domains using the "Export" button on the top right-hand side. Please check the attached screenshot.

3- I compare the exported Afternic list with my offline list using the VLOOKUP function on a spreadsheet to determine the missing domains in my account.

James, we are talking about different things... See the screenshot for what I mean. See the gap from Feb 15 to March 3? That is when I got zero emails, while before that I was getting 3-5 a day. My rep triggered something on his end and I got bulk 2 emails that covered few hundred names that probably did not get their emails during that window. Today I got a normal combined one, so hopefully it is solved.

What is not solved is that occasionally I get 404 page for GD's home page (!!!)! I got it few times today. How can we expect anything to function normal if Godaddy cannot get its own most important single URL to function properly and cannot resolve this bug over many days?

Thanks for that information. That's a smart way to keep up with them.

Last year I got an email from Godaddy my domain was transferred out. Nothing from Alternic about a sale. I was in a panic for a few hours until I found out it was sold. Took a few more hours before confirmation
