By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

My advice to anyone considering using Afternic landers would be to avoid ns1 and ns2. Instead, opt for ns3, ns4, ns5, or ns6.

For my 4,000 domains, I still list them on Afternic, but no longer use their landers or nameservers for any of them. Ultimately, the choice is up to each individual.

I believe there's still a cohort of domain investors, me included, who would be enthusiastic about using Afternic for part of their portfolio, provided several fundamental issues are resolved and improvements are made. This would rekindle the joy of working with Afternic, which is currently found only at other marketplaces but is lacking here.

The numerous free pieces of advice offered by loyal Afternic users are invaluable. New domain marketplaces not only read these suggestions more attentively than Afternic, but also implement them swiftly on their own platforms. Like, real innovation. Unfortunately, Afternic lacks the capacity to do the same and make meaningful improvements. Instead, they’re still trying to copy DAN.COM -- and even that project hasn't been completed yet.

Again thanks so much. This may help explain why potential buyer looks dropped so much, after switching to Afternic landers from Dan landers.

Since you don't use afternic landers any longer, I assume your domains don't show up on GD when someone searches there. Also, any sales from Afternic now have 30% commissions.

I've opted out of Afternic Boost and do not use their nameservers. Yet, my .com domains still appear prominently in the first spot in the GoDaddy registration path when searched with keywords without a TLD. I'm fortunate that (a lot of) my domains are of such high quality that the algorithm decides they're worth promoting them this way. It certainly won't apply to all my domains, or domains from all Sellers.

Also, any sales from Afternic now have 30% commissions.

Since I'm not using Boost or their nameservers, the commission will be 25% for sales made through Afternic. With Boost enabled, it would be 30%, indeed.

For me personally, being involved in the pre-launch phase of NPP, I'm currently mainly directing my BIN domains to other marketplaces. The main reason for this, is that I'm prepared to actually pay marketplaces for their full service offerings, which are not yet fully available at NPP. However, there will be improvements to NPP coming soon, and I'm closely following the developments.

In addition to this, I have now found out that the only email I received from Afternic Sales -an automated notification about the inquiry- had landed in my Spam folder.

UPDATE: Finally, I received a message from AN explaining the offer was not serious and reassuring me they will keep me informed. I appreciate their reaching out, indeed.

Mine did the same thing the first time. Now when I check lead center and "more" and there's something there. First thing I do is check regular email and spam folder. Good luck on the next one. I saw below they weren't serious.

@GoDaddy There's a bug in the CSV Bulk upload process. I've uploaded a batch of 13 domains, and the upload_results csv says "ADD_PROCESSED" for all of them. One .com domain however, was not added to portfolio, and it's not in the Pending Review overview either. This has happened more than once.

I have now added this domain manually.

What does "ADD_PROCESSED" really mean?

I sent the broker a note with some facts and considerations for valuation of my domain..

Is it/could it be possible to attach a note at the time of listing?

If I have both the abbrev name & the correct spelling as 'cover'

e.g azmkt//com and amazonmarket //com (not mine)

I will have bought them with the intention of selling them as a package and a note would

help the broker be aware of that.

Some marketplaces provide a custom description field where you add such details on the lander. Afternic does not offer this.
