Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

Lol. If that is the promised promo, I'll pass (I already have).

It is scary that I might soon get tens of thousands of those. Not long before everything from GD/AN will end up in spam or "promotions" section of gmail and other services.

And, that means, all legitimate broker emails will end up there too.

78 domains in review.

I am gonna delete all domains if they do not find a solution immediately.

Here is a new annoyance: If you close the Afternic page, you have to log in again—every time, regardless of whether you clicked "keep me logged in."

That will pretty much be the duplicate of this thread.

Honestly, what do you think we are doing here? )))

Any Afternic, GD thread eventually turns into bug & annoyances one.
Oh, you’re absolutely right: there’s a lot of overlap and the same frustration in every GoDaddy/Afternic-related thread. I’m well aware of that 😉

So, while this thread already covers many of our issues, the other thread has a slightly different format. It’s meant to be concise and focused, listing all the separate issues with proposed solutions without too much discussion or legacy content. The main goal (or hope) is that this time, Afternic developers will take that list and address the issues one by one.

Even though our feedback has been largely ignored so far, I hope this new format will help improve Afternic. I have to admit, I’m feeling particularly optimistic today...

Hey Afternic. How do we opt-out of those ANNOYING nag pop-up windows that give suggestions over and over again every time we go to our domain portfolio? What self-respecting web developer let you do this? You could make better use of your devs by adding columns that show expiry data of the domain which is public whois data and very useful for domainers keeping expired names out of their afternic porfolio. Also, the entire top half of the domain portfolio dashboard is UNUSABLE and shows static non-scrolling content. So basically the list of domains begins halfway down the page. You are wasting super valuable real estate for functionality to view/manage domains in bulk. You have obviously borrowed elements from DAN before you trashed their service. You ought to use the rest of their functionality features like full screen use/bulk domain portfolio, etc.

I have already posted a work-around:

Go straight to https://www.afternic.com/dashboard

you are permanently logged in. Never expires pretty much.

@GoDaddy , you are welcome ))
Once you click on the Afternic icon above the dashboard it takes you to Afternic Homepage, where it shows sign in. One has to click the back button to come back to the dashboard. Without doing that how can I come back to the dashboard?
Is there any other option?
Because if i further delve into Afternic homepage then I have to click back button several times till it takes me to Afternic dashboard.

But when you try to edit something or add a domain etc, you often find out that you aren't really logged in. Why this weird middle ground?

It a basic security feature - you can view any updates and check of your negotiations have been updated (they likely haven't) but if you want to make any real changes you need to log in. View vs Update access.

I like this feature as I just check a few times a day to see if there has been any progress on my many open negotiations (nope) on my Dashboard and I never have to log in.

This is one of the few positive perks at Afternic and if I had to log in multiple times a day, just to see the same static Dashboard for days on end, I'd probably go crazy.

2FA in every single login is too much security for me.

I had 130 domains on review
From both dyna and namecheap
4 days and all fine
Try contacting their support
Also , go on your portfolio and see if there are any domains on “Pending Sync”

Called them, all fixed now. Annoying to have to call when names were not in review for months and then shifted to back into review. Anyway, done now

Afternic Chat now creates ticket and gives # if the issue isn't resolved in the chat.
