By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

Can be 7 days or more.

Personally I think "fast transfer" is a bit of a nonsense. You can sell a domain anywhere and have the deal done within hours if you use a good registrar.

Yeah that about sums it up. That's my experience anyway.

Not taking a chance on automatic migration so just finished up moving them manually from Dan to Afternic landers

Mass changed nameservers from Dan to Afternic

Mass deleted domains at Dan

A minute or two for that

Now, what took some time was going in and changing landing page, check to make sure prices were right, enabling lease to own, update camel casing. About 5 hours for about 600 domains. All done and all going to the right place after a Quick Look

For my adult domains (less than 2% of my portfolio) , they’re at Bodis with the sales lander page since there are no providers currently for ppc. You’ll get an error page if you choose the lander with the ppc ads:

“Thank you for notifying us. Unfortunately our upstream ad provider recently discontinued their support for adult traffic, and we do not have a Tier2 ad provider for adult traffic at this time.

However, we are looking into implementing some alternative ad streams in the not too distant future, but if you intend to keep your adult domains with Bodis in the meantime, we would recommend enabling the 'Sales Lander Only' option to circumvent this error page.”

And just got my first Lease To Own thru Afternic just now. Just submitted code, will see how long before I get first payment. Nice to know it’s working. And a hand reg on top of that.

I usually get paid within 1 to 3 business days.

Payments are anywhere between 1-10 days. Depends on how fast they push or transfer the domain to the buyer.

For FAST TRANSFER I think payout time depends on which registrar the buyer bought the name. If they buy the name at GoDaddy then payout is usually faster (1-5 days). If they buy it at the other 100 registrars it could be up to 10 days or so.

Although I still have names listed on Afternics platform, very few AN landers are being used.

One of the few still pointing to AN had the old camel case showing so I though it was time to give it the upper/lower case upgrade. Although it has been pointed to AN for years, the camel case pushed the name into review status. As a result, it now points elsewhere.

I'd hoped with all the recent 'updates', this bug would have been fixed.

All my domains are out from review status and regularly listed.
They are working , slowly , but they are

It's really displeasing when your domains are pushed into Review.
When you mail them they reply "your domain failed one of the integrity checks. We will review again".
Next day you get a mail saying "Our compliance team has approved your domain".
You submit your answer sheet for re-checking. And they find there was a mistake in totaling.

I had custom landers before and then saw complaints of it not working properly last week and I switched back to Price Request.

At launch I heard that the Custom Dan Landers only worked if you had a BIN or a BIN + Make Offer, and NOT just with Make Offer.

Does anyone see a correlation, because this might be old news that Afternic has since corrected.

I sold a domain via outbound last night. The buyer informed me that they got this very message through the checkout link I sent. I promptly changed my landers to Dan and sent a PayPal invoice. I'll sleep better keeping my names pointed at Dan until they're killed off. I have no faith in Afternic anymore.
