Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

Which extension is the domain you tried? For me the same error appears when I list names which are not supported by GoDaddy, but supported by Afternic. Interestingly if you set the LTO, the first payment of the LTO checked out just fine... But you cannot buy it as a BIN. Don't ask me the logic behind ๐Ÿคฃ
If someone is able to add their domain (no matter the extension), the buy now button should work, case closed. If they don't want certain extensions on their platform then we shouldn't be able to add them in the first place. This is a complete shit fest, just what we expected from @GoDaddy

Exactly! And for the record, the domain extensions I tested are all supported by GoDaddy including the .net extension.

I pretty sure that this mismatch between GD and AN supported tlds is something they just didn't think about at all when they made GD the sole front end for buyers, and now they are hopelessly slow in making the necessary adjustments. Wait till the Dan stuff migrates...

It's getting more and more worrying.

I drop domains because they don't generate traffic on Afternic. I never expected that crappy stats might be due to defects in the core business of putting websites online and selling advertising, domains and consulting with them.

Is there a compliance office in the company that takes these things more seriously?
At some point, state authorities in the USA or the EU may take notice and investigate matters under competition law and consumer protection law. If something like this happens, the company's customers will suffer even more disadvantages before anything changes for the better.

And this is not alarmism, but precaution and justice.
In the Middle Ages, we would have been quartered for such statements, but today powerful alphas are more open-minded, arenยดt they?

In some ways, Afternic operates like itโ€™s still in the Middle Ages, so watch your back.

This statement COMPLETELY patronizes us. To hear you must first listen. You do not want our help. You want our MONEY. Nothing more, nothing less. You will do whatever you choose no matter what feedback the community provides. As long as we feed the glutinous PIG that GD has become, you will NEVER care what we think.

This problem was reported several years ago. I checked some of my domains and everything works, but now I'm on the verge of temporarily changing all namesevers to Sedo, but in this case I will have to unlist all domains on Afternic since I don't want to pay 25%...

I remember someone was missing a domain from their Afternic account? What happened, and was the issue resolved?

When I refreshed my seller dashboard today, it went from 849 to 848 domains right in front of my eyes. No sold domain, and none in review or on hold.

Maybe Kyle was right. Or maybe daddy playing spin the bottle when people click parked pages
BUYERS CAN'T EVEN BUY THE DOMAINS @GoDaddy I get this error on many of my domains whenever I press the buy now button on my parked domain.

Do you have a Lease-to-own active? Maybe check if it was leased? Any way you can pinpoint the domain name that is missing -- like comparing an old portfolio download to your current portfolio download?

Good idea, but there are no leases. Unfortunately I don't have any old portfolio downloads to compare with. I guess I'll have to download my GoDaddy portfolio and compare it with the Afternic portfolio, and then check all the other domains one-by-one.

@GoDaddy

Question about the Dan to Afternic "migration" ... If we already have our names on both Dan and Afternic, what happens if things don't match? Examples:

What if the price is different between the two platforms? Which price will be used after the migration?

What if a name is available for LTO on Dan but not on Afternic? Which will be used after the migration?

What if a name is Make Offer on Dan, but not on Afternic? Which will it be after migration?

What takes precedence?

I don't trust them so I just opted out of the DAN migration (all my names are already listed on both platforms). So afternic will remain and whatever prices I have there will what is shown. With all the tech glitches over at GD - I think this is the smart play
