Hello NamePros!
By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

We will also be sharing Afternic product updates in this thread.

Please note that this thread is not meant for support. Please email our support team at [email protected] for assistance.

I am curious to see what feedback the synchronization from DAN to Afternic will bring. Hopefully this project has been thoroughly prepared.

Is there a member from Greece who would make a pilgrimage to the Oracle of Delphi predicting migration success? Herculean qualities are essential on the way there.

50/50 it brings the entire Godaddy ecosystem down.

It's really frustrating having to move my portfolio from dan to afternic, which is a bug riddled platform offering half of dan's features.

People in charge of this, what are you thinking? I see only complains about afternic on a daily basis. If it was not part of a monopoly, it would close down in a week.

Seriously considering other options despite higher commissions.

Just a heads up for other people - I have a payment from an afternic sale from over a month ago still processing. If others are experiencing similar delays, please post, so we know if something is going on with the system. We don't want another Epik situation on our hands. I've gotten several e-mail responses but they contain no updates, only that their team is reviewing a transaction.
Just an update, I did receive my payment. However, it took over a month from when the sale was concluded. If anyone else is experiencing delays in getting paid, keep us posted.

Good morning @GoDaddy

There are still a lot of unresolved technical issues that, at least, need a reply.

I can reply for you. We have heard your 84 pages of problems. We cannot fix them or don't want to. You have to use the site anyway. Go away.

Over the years, I've sold multiple hundreds of names on Go Daddy with $X,XXX,XXX in revenue with multiple accounts. This is the worst I've seen ever in terms of bugs. This needs to be fixed or at least respond to so we know what's going on. The boost ain't Boosting.

We get it, you want us to use Afternic instead of Dan, but why didn't you fix all the bugs BEFORE de-prioritizing Dan listings?! (this is the only explaination why August was so utterly disgraceful) I was expecting my sales to resume to normal after I migrated my domains to Afternic but somehow its been even worse than August.

More like calling Hercules himself and telling him that he now has a new Labour to complete (involving 384 major bug-fixes) before Afternic is ready for prime time.

"Verily, slaying the nine-headed Hydra and Nemean Lion wast naught compared to yon endless bugs of Afternic!"

This depiction of Hercules resembles a Nordic son of Thor who ran out of fabric but I agree on the labors part; it's like cleaning the Augean Stables!

Example: Adding domains to Afternic is done up to 50 at a time. A friend had to repeat the process 10 times to add all 500. GoDaddy claims the service is worth 25% and "discounts" it to users of its DNS - don't forget this amazing BS claim!

I was told you can send in a .csv and work with a rep and they will manually assist with large folios. Clearly it should be automated, but at least it's possible

More than 50 domains is a large portfolio? Imagine that!
Sadly, a half-baked, ever-beta solution proclaims to be the best platform to buy and sell domains on.

BUYERS CAN'T EVEN BUY THE DOMAINS @GoDaddy I get this error on many of my domains whenever I press the buy now button on my parked domain.

They took a long time in the process of disbursing the money, my domain had left my Godady account, and the money had not been transferred to my PayPal.

This is usually due to it being your own listing.

Try it from an incognito window and double check.
How I conducted the testing:
- Different browser
- Different IP
- Deleted cookies in between each domain visit that I tested

I tried a few domains of mine and I can confirm the issue. Some domains when I try to re-visit them and hit the "Next" button, they go through, others never go through and display the same error message.

I remember when the "Custom Lander" first introduced, I mentioned here that GoDaddy logo in the header should be clickable to make it easier for the buyer to confirm the legitimacy of the landing page on GoDaddy and GoDaddy replied back that the next button is the "only link out to the GoDaddy cart through the "Next" button - focusing the attention of the buyer on the key pathway to secure the domain name".

Now that the "Next" button isn't working for who knows how many domains in our portfolios, the landing pages aren't displaying correctly, and some domains aren't showing the correct price, I no wonder why some of us have reported a decline in sales since last month including me!

@GoDaddy A deadline with all the issues reported here to be resolved should be declared. Otherwise, I believe any other landing page out there is far better than the daily catastrophe we're dealing with!

I don't think GoDaddy is that smart! I'm experiencing the same problem and I have a separate Afternic account besides my GoDaddy account and most of my domains are at other registrars, so there's no way for GoDaddy to detect whether the name being added to my cart is mine or not!

Which extension is the domain you tried? For me the same error appears when I list names which are not supported by GoDaddy, but supported by Afternic. Interestingly if you set the LTO, the first payment of the LTO checked out just fine... But you cannot buy it as a BIN. Don't ask me the logic behind 🤣
