By popular demand, we have launched a dedicated feedback thread for Afternic, the GoDaddy-owned domain name marketplace.

We have created this thread as a way for you to tell us what works, what doesn't work, and what features you'd like to see at Afternic (please be constructive with your feedback). We're looking forward to hearing from the domain investment community to help us shape the future of Afternic.

Just did another test on 2 different devices - they resolve now, BUT load VERY slow on one of the devices.

On the left menu, go to Sales, then Brokered Leads, and under the More drop-down, select All

BIN names resolving as May Be Available

I came across a batch of my names with BIN landers set. The listings within my Afternic account are as I set them. Unfortunately, the landers say "may be for sale." When I search the names in GoDaddy, the pricing information is wrong and does not match the listing as set in my Afternic account.

Maybe another test to determine whether screwing stuff up delivers superior results, eh, GoDaddy?

It doesn't need to be fixed but I sure hope someone can mark this as "done" to maintain GoDaddy's high standards of excellence.

It doesn't need to be fixed but I sure hope someone can mark this as "done" to maintain GoDaddy's high standards of excellence.

I used GoDaddy bulk search to identify the names with problems, deleted them from Afternic, then re-added them. This seems to have corrected the problem. Good times. Done!

@GoDaddy You should seriously reflect on how often Sellers are being frustrated, and whether this is the direction you want your business to take. I'd much rather be handing out compliments to you every day, just like I often do in the Atom.com thread. Their development team reads along quietly and fixes things promptly, often without anyone having to beg for attention.

@GoDaddy You should seriously reflect on how often Sellers are being frustrated, and whether this is the direction you want your business to take.

What share of GoDaddy’s total profits is generated by private sellers, such that a meaningful shift elsewhere would be felt by the company?

They're probably rolling out their expert Estimated Values and "Why it's great" directly on the landers, because otherwise buyers might not notice that, for example, "Quantum" and "Computing" are high value keywords, with an average sale price of "low $x,xxx" and "low $x,xxx".

You know, sometimes it seems to me that the person who is running all these processes and allowing this kind of absurdity is working for a competitor. But GD is such a massive machine that even that wouldn't be enough.

I see you’ve already handled the ‘Done’ badge for us on this one

Even though the 'live' evidence was cleared when you deleted and re-added the names, we may still be able to investigate what happened by checking the listing history and logs for those specific examples.

If you're willing to share a few of those sample domains via DM, we'd like to have the team look at the historical data

Can Afternics Partner Seller Team please stop resending account optimization emails. I said "no thanks, I'm not a phone person (etc)" a couple of months ago and now the same guy emailed me again. One more and I report them as spam.
