Hello, I updated my payment method 4 days ago and there is no progress. I have never experienced any delays like this before. You can send the payment via paypal right away. Just detect the problem and confirm the payment. That's it. You are making me wait unnecessarily right now! Please let's end this.

Has my payment method been approved? Or is it still pending approval? This is really funny you are making me wait for my payment method which I updated 5 days ago! It is 2024 and everything was great with Dan.com. All of this was done without any delay.

Hi guys, since the migration of my portfolio to Afternic, I noticed a huge drop in views to my domains compared to DAN.com, with many having ZERO views per month, while usually they had around 10 views each month. Do you think these stats are reliable?

That's my main problem with Afternic - I'm getting more offers (likely due to the GD branding and account linkage) but fewer sales (because the brokers are very slow to respond).

But then again, if the magical, ethereal Self-Brokerage Tool ever gets released, then I could be sitting pretty.

Here's another thing that bugs me about Afternic.

Broker X has three open negotiations on my account, including one that awaits my price being forwarded to the buyer and another that has all kinds of contacts/calls/replies from a few days ago... neither of which has any recent status updates pertaining to me.

Then I look on my account and this same Broker X is now exhuming and contacting long-dead leads. >:( >:(

Does this make any sense to anyone else?

If Afternic wants to open up a Cold Case department to exhume dead leads from months or even years ago, then they should assign a specific broker team to this. Otherwise, with live leads languishing in limbo, it looks like their time is not being well-spent.

Do you receive emails when there are negotiations/offers for your domains.
I don't receive emails when there are negotiations for my domains.
If I don't open the lead center I can't figure out that there are new negotiations and offers for my domains. :oops: Is this a bug or...?

I think Afternic only sends emails at major junction points, like if the potential buyer makes a counter offer.

afternic bug of the day, if you had payment plans activated, and your adding new domains without pricing them, it will automatically add payment plan length as set to account default, but it won't let you add any domains, until you either price them, or go 1 by 1, and turn off the payment plan for each domain. Have a drop down menu at the top like sedo, where you can select all, and add a $500 minimum to all when not using bulk features.

Afternic's brokerage team will receive leads, and as you say, they'll be visible to you in the Lead Center. During the negotiation process, any important updates or messages will be sent to you via email, with a prompt to reply in the Lead Center.

Just found out that Afternic will cancel an LTO sale if the domain is on a transfer lock. No matter how big the sale. Will this change soon? I've already had 2 big sales cancel because of this. Sales that the buyer had agreed to and paid the first installment.

I don't want to only report on things when they go poorly.

So, in fairness, my recent Custom Checkout Link sale went well.

If all sales were that smooth, there would not be many complaints.

Hey Brad, congrats! I am glad to see this one worked out well. I think the sales funnel will be optimized further. When link takes users directly to the GoDaddy cart instead of a Dan-related checkout page (like https://dan.com/buy/... ), it will be a game changer. This might build more trust with potential customers and potentially boost sales. Of course, this would depend on implementation details like always :xf.wink:

You are absolutely right! I need to receive a payment of $7250. My payment method was updated on Monday and today is Friday... No response. This is really ridiculous. All their representatives answer like robots. Resolution 0, satisfaction 0... I am considering taking a big risk and removing my entire portfolio from Godaddy/Afternic.

It gets better and now there are apparently 3 different brokers all contacting the same dead lead that is so old that...

"The original lead was created prior to the Lead Center"

Meanwhile in the real world, I have counter offers and responses that still haven't been sent to the buyers.

It's almost like someone kicked ass at Afternic and now all the brokers are scurrying to put any and all rudimentary tasks into their logbooks that proves they actually did something.

Kinda like cops in Canada. You never see them, but whenever an ambulance shows up, there are always 5-6 cop cars parked while they drink coffee and laugh. I asked a friend in the RCMP why so many show up, when only one is needed (and that assumes the ambulance is late), and he said cops "need something to put in their daily log so it looks like they were active and doing their job."
