I purchased a ccTLD entitled 'insurancecapitol'

Speaks for itself, realised about 5 seconds after submitting my payment.

Doh! Only done this once... bought a name via NameJet auctions... placed a bid of around $120 on:

musicispace.com

Sleepy eyes failed to notice the "i" in the middle... sadly everyone else did... and my bid stood to be the highest.

I wonder if it'd make better sense in another language?!

:-/ Long shot!

Bloodi typoz :)
Did the exact same thing, thought I found a gem on $5 bin tdnam and bought lifessentials .com. Moments later I realized my mistake. Managed to sell it a couple of months later on tdnam for $15.

Anyway, good luck with it

Easily done.

Have you asked GoDaddy for a refund? They are usually very accommodating.

I did that once at TDNAM last year.. Can't remember the domain but it was the same story about missing a letter after buying domains on way too little sleep :)

Bought aborginal.com thinking I had picked up a gem once... and even then it took me a week to realise LOL

Lol this is actually a feel good thread huh? Good to know we're not alone in making mistakes, it happens to the best of us. Good way to learn and be more "awake" next time.

Maybe we should see who made the costliest mistake? lol...

;)

2 ccTLD on the very same night when I can barely open my eyes, I spelled 'Mortgage' as 'Mortage' and I happily went to bed thinking I stumbled upon 2 gems.

Surprisingly, there was traffic! D-:

Burnt quite a hole in my pocket :td:

In my pre-firefox browser days, I slipped benifits into my info portfolio wandering why it was still available. The silver lining was ovt wordtracker showed many others made the same mistake :p

Interestingly enough, it more than pays for itself!

Back in '99 I was happy to have regged WeddingAnouncements.com! That lasted for about 20 minutes, till my wife pointed out there was 2 'n's in Announcements. Que Sera.

There is a joke in the pilot business that there are two kinds of pilots; those who have had a wheels up landing and those who will have a wheels up landing. :)
