I am normally a very precise person particulary whan it comes to timing and getting things done- even write notes to myself.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I noticed that a good .tw had not been registered correctly during the recent landrush and as such was being re released at midday on 13th Feb Taiwan time.
Went in to action, checked out a few places I would be able to reg the name quickly, settled on a couple that I would use to try and get the name.
Put a yellow sticker on the right hand of my screen to remind me of the precise date and time. Midday Taiwan time 13th Feb.
Everthing is now in place to give the optimum chance of securing the name.
Day arrives, and I am sat at my computer with plenty of time prior to release of name at midday. Final check- the name has already been regged :o
I am furious, I am getting ready to write letters emails etc expressing my disgust.
I check the time date etc via whois for all the info - it suddenly dawned on me, it HAD been regged just after midday on the 13th Feb -
Unfortunately I suddenly realised today was the 14th Feb, I had got it wrong by 24 hours
Congrats to the HK based new owner of Casino.tw - he got it right
A happy ending - doing a quick search yesterday I found another Taiwan name had dropped - I now own P--n.com.tw - the real one :hehe:
