As far as I know, the remaining 5l.com's containing 3 of the same letters have officially been bought out as of today.

Do you think we'll see an increase in demand for these types of 5L.com's?

How long do you think it will take to buyout the remaining 5l.com chips?

Just yesterday I scanned the 5L.com's and the only patterns that seem to be left are as such (and I would like to remind you that these could be considered equal to regging 3 Word Domains.

If comparing One, Two and Three word generic domains to the 5L.com patterns
One Word Generic Terms = AAAAA.com ABBBB.com AABAA.com, ABABA.com, (GEO + ABC), etc
Two Word Generic Terms = AABCC.com, ABBCA.com, ABCCA.com, ABCAB.com, ABBAA.com, etc
Three Word Generic Terms = Every other domains that doesn't have a clear defined pattern which is what is currently still available

Here are patterns that could be sought out .... if you like

kjklj.com = ABAXB.com
jklmj.com = ABCDA.com
klmnj.com = ABCDX.com
rsttj.com = ABCCX.com

Seems like the best are shinning through. I still see strong registrations in 4L.biz, 5L.com and 7n.coms

I picked up OENNN.com the other day after it dropped. Not premium, but at least it has three repeating letter. :guilty:

Only 36.7 % 5L Chips are left. Should be gone in the next 1-2 months.

Cheers,
V

The last 2 days no 5L.com registrations in general. Process paused.

Lowering quality (ex: patterns) as inventory gets smaller, shifts in markets, etc

What Could be the cause of this?

Buyers might have been putting more money on backorders. I have been watching and catching drops during a few days. Very nice names have dropped recently.

I have held and renewed over 2000 .com domains for 6 to 8 years now. I did not lose hope and drop them when they came up for renewal. A longer term view than just a week or month is needed. It would be great to make 10 times profit in a week, but it would still be great to make that 10 times profit even if it takes a year or two to materialize. Maybe selling 3% to 5% of portfolio per month would be a good strategy to help level out the price volatility and dollar cost average so we don't have to feel like we are day trading in the stock market.;)

yes, i have seen a healthy amount of money being used to bid on dropping names.

personally i would rather invest $1,000 in a few names than $1,000 in a hundred names (better on the renewal pocket book ;)

i have also noticed a decrease in the amount of names dropping in the 5L repeating categories.

as time goes you will see less and less 5L's drop/expire. Just like the 4L's.
