Hi all,
I'm new in this forum and I'm trying to acquire knowledge about the domains I own and their sale potential.
Sorry if english is not my native language, I'll do my best!

I've bought these domain for a few projects on my own and for clients I follow, then I found out about domain trading and I boutght even more... but I'm no expert in the field!

I know some of these are more profitable then others... I'm trying to understand which!... or maybe just confirm my thoughts.

would you please share your opinion with me? which one do you prefer? which do you think may sell for more, and how much?
(i know some are terrible!!)

Here's the list:

askjohns.com
aziendalisti.it (one word, italian = "business economist" , or "corporate men")
binarytrading-options.com
biomedici.it - (one word, italian = "doctors working in biomedical field")
booking-accomodations.com
businessdevelope.com
canapism.com
develope-business.com

moneyfortrade.com
nrgees.com
optimize-seo.com
royal-management.com
royal-managers.com
saldissimo.it (one word, italian= "great sale")
scolpiti.com (one word, italian = "sculpted", said of muscles as well as art/graven surfaces)

AfternicAfternic
Sorry, but I don't see any easy value in any of them (apart from the non-English ones as I don't know their value).

One that sticks out to me and you should put on Sedo, Afternic etc:
financial-stocks.com - You might get low or more 3 figures for this (you might get 4 figures from someone, but don't get too excited it's more likely low $xxx).
Although, don't expect the offers to come rolling in within a month or two of listing, it might take some time.

Again, it may well be even the one I've picked out doesn't sell in years. This is a tough old game, and you can't just hand reg anything you "believe" or "want" to be worth money and thus it is. There has to be some solid possible use for the domain name for someone to want to spend money on it.

Take a step back and forget wanting to make money, forget you own these names and have a personal connection to them, and think carefully for each one "What could this be used for" AND then consider: so it's used for X, is it a good name for X?
Is a business going to use that domain name and proudly and professionally give it out to their clients? Would you? Imagine you are a pro and are setting up a new business. Given there are hundreds of thousands of decent .com names for low $xxx, is yours as good?

For example:
moneyfortrade.com - This is just essentially selling something. I give you money and you give me a product or service - money for trade. There is no use for this really. How would it be used, for what?

highrobots.com - What does this mean, or do? How could it be used?

I didn't want to sound mean, but IMO you don't have names that will sell. You need to spend a lot of time reading the forums here, look at other domain name appraisals and the market place and see what sells and for what.
You might think "nah, I can do better", and some people do, but not with the names you have I'm afraid ;)

Learn what names sell for, and try not to be creative, stick to .com, and over time you'll buy better names you'll be able to trade with and make some money. Good luck :)

Very much thank you for your opinion and suggestions!
I do realize that many of them have no value...I've searched and learnt a lot since I bought these.. and there's so much I need to learn still.
but the main reason of writing here for me was understanding if one or more of them stick out, as you say... And you suggest financial-stocks.com
that's good.
but... please forgive my ignorance... for example it's curious to me why you feel financial-stocks.com has some value, while financialscoops.com or tradingscoops.com are worth nothing. So with seoplacer.com or italiaeat.com

...can agree with moneyfortrade and many others though.

It can be a subtle difference to the untrained eye, but keywords are so very crucial. It can take some time to get used to knowing what is good and what isn't and why. And during that learning curve, the want to make money (which is fine) can drive illusions that some keyword or keyword pairing is good, when it's really not.

Think about what "scoop" means, and what "stocks" mean.
No really, stop, think about their definitions.

Now individually pair those definitions with "financial".
"Financial Stocks" makes sense. Sure slightly redundant but in the world of stocks lower level domain names (decent still) can make a little money as they're sought after.

What does "Financial Scoop" mean?
Ok, so someone might buy it. Build a blog or financial new site etc. You asked for "what is valuable" though, and for me the chance of 1 in a million or more that some rouge user likes that name and buys it, having luckily found it on some market place AND wants to pay more than low $xx?

I could be wrong, it's just my take. "scoops" is so 90's, and slang. And so many better words to pair, like "Financial news" etc (ok that's taken but you get my meaning)

italiaeat.com - Sure some restaurant might like this, but it's a mix of two languages, so likely the restaurant is not high quality which means low offer on the domain name. Try it on the marketplaces, most are free to list, just choose the categories carefully to get it noticed properly.

seoplacer.com makes no sense to me. "Placer" is not a well used word, and people in SEO should have a good domain. Like a suit salesman doesn't wear jeans and a t-shirt.

Honestly, this is just my opinion. Sometimes the weirdest domains go for whacky money. Tho, that is rare, so don't base your buying or time spent around this.

Try your luck with the 7 best you feel might sell. Put them all on the same marketplaces and see what views and offers you get. It'll show you for yourself how it all works if nothing else ;)

I'd also suggest viewing some videos on DomainSherpa.com, and reading through DNJournal.com. And the auctions here at NP - although those are re-seller prices not end user, but it still gives you an idea of what names go for what price on a very busy marketplace.

Kinda like the Italian "fashion" ones! But not sure how many Italians do their searches in Italian as compared to in English ( percentage wise)

But then again, might be worth a try to sell them to a English related fashion site, maybe for a "foot hold" in Italy. .

thank you all!
I'll definitely get to to study ..
briguy, that's an idea, I guess I'll have to whatch over the web and contact all english fashion sites hehe

...I spent a lot of money for all these names! and the worst part is you think they're pretty good when you buy them. Having my money back would be nice at least

Hi there again my friends,
I was just thinking... what if I tried to sell my entire portfolio. Maybe here on namepros. I spent around 1000 for it (many are expiring in 3 years), how much should I sell it for?? what's your opinion.
All, including the best ones mentioned here...that is:
- financial-stocks.com
- optimize-seo.com
- foodygoodie.com
- italian names about fashion

About the others, I realize they may be worth nothing or may not. I've seen worst names to sell. Even these Financialscoops.com or tradingscoops.com that I have .... I've done a research and seen that some news/divulgative websites are successfully using the keyword "scoops" in other topic areas, where better keywords as "news" are already token. I wonder if it may be the same with finance/trading sites. Maybe in a future... that would mean nice money, no? since financial(etc).com sites are selling for x.xxx$ and more. And I think... If I had to build a site about stocks/trading news I may like this names. I'd even prefer them to financial-stocks.com which is more redundant. But maybe it's just me. Ok "scoops" sounds 90's to you, but maybe that's not a bad thing: it immediately takes me to conventional journalistic slang which, old or not, may be exactly what the buyer looks for - conventional, classic (ok classic is old, but still classic!). I'm just talking about possibilities though, who knows?

please, let me know what this portfolio may be worth for you!! and thanks again.

Well, a lot of domainers have already given their verdict on the value of your portfolio. Most deem nothing, some deem one or two have some value.

Unfortunately, having a lot of poor names makes it unattractive to buy as you don't have any sure winners to make it worthwhile and offset them. You are essentially only selling a few names, as the buyer would likely just ignore the bad ones and let them drop and concentrate on any they feel might make a little money.

You can have 100,000 names, if they are all fairly bad then no-one will buy them even for (ie) $100 for the lot, as it takes time to transfer, manage, try to sell, etc (well, someone might). One should concentrate on better names with their time so they make a return.

Maybe someone will make you an offer, but I'd suggest forgetting the bad ones and putting the better ones on the market places, maybe for a low-mid $xxx BIN and perhaps you can recoup your losses and start again. Good luck :)
