Hello Everyone,
I got an offer for domain EsteemTrade.com for 4000$, But the brokerage company who contacted me said that I have undergo manula appraisal through easynamesale.com and then they shall proceed further with the negotiations. I really really doubt that this might be a scam, did any of you people come across this one in the past. Or what can I do to know whether it is true or an appraisal scam? I got the offer from Eliteinvestment.net and asked to get an appraisal from Easynamesale.com.

If they're asking for an appraisal it is VERY likely a scam :|

Whatever you do don't pay for an appraisal cos you'll never hear from them again.

Sorry, but that is the appraisal scam.

The truth is anyone asking to buy a domain already has a price in mind that they are willing to pay, and don't need an appraisal.

Sounds like a scam. Google easynamesale and see what you find.

Sorry to say but you should never have to PAY for an appraisal to sell your domain. This is just a scam and even if it isn't i still would consider it a scam.

Eliteinvestment.net is a well know scammer. It is just lazy that the scammer doesn't buy a new domain and reword his email. They have sent out the exact same email for months, if not years.

he's not a bot, as he always replies back, kinda funny to ask him to do some stuff to verify that hes a real person, like ask him to send you a picture with him holding a piece of paper stating 'I love starwars' hehe. :P

there are some more of these scammers around, same story, trying to get you to pay $100 for a bullsh* appraisal.

This is kinda classic scam doing the rounds for quite sometime and many people fall for it.

The best you can do is to ask the brokerage company to do the appraisal themselves and debit this amount from the $4000 offer. That way, you can play safe but still give it a shot. :imho:
