Bids Bash is a fun shopping website that offers brand new products through its fast-paced auctions for huge discounts.

The pages are already been designed. Here are 3 examples of the website pages:

The color combination obviously has to match the layout.
In terms of color, it would be preferred that you only use solid colors instead of gradients, like in the layout.

The word Bids Bash is derived from the term" Birthday Bash" so the word Bash in the logo could display sort of a party element in it. Obviously this is not mandatory and I will be happy to see your creativity. In terms of the over all feel of the logo. I prefer a more professional/simple logo as opposed to a funky logo. With that being said. I do want some sort of fun element in the logo too. I do not want the fun element completely ignored.

One very important thing. I want a symbol incorporated in the logo as well. A symbol that I can use separately in places where full logo is not needed. An example is this website: http://quibids.com/ . This is a penny auction website also. They use the full logo on the website but as their facebook page display picture(seen here: http://www.facebook.com/quibids), they are using the "Q" of Quibids as the symbol. So I want the same thing in my logo as well. My idea for symbol is to make a symbol of "BB" as in the first B of Bids and second B of Bash. But the problem is that Quibids is only having Q as symbol but since we are using two letters as symbol, i think it would look weird in our logo. So this is where your creativity come is. As to how best you can incorporate a "BB" symbol inside the logo. You may even place a double B symbol separately and place Bids Bash text separately and connect them in a way. But again it is up to you as to how you put it together. But a symbol is MUST.

Impressive First Entries.

Here is my feedback:

I am not particularly liking the gable so much. I understand that your idea of adding the gable is to relate the logo to penny auction but I am not very much liking it. I strongly suggest that you go through my initial requirement of having BB as a symbol of the logo. I like that you are making a horizontal display of the logo as opposed to vertical. So that is good. But try to place a BB symbol and connect it with the text. I suggest that you Google "Toyota BB Logo" for reference . I like that. Obviously that is just a reference.

Another thing I want to add regarding the font. The font display you have used is extra simple. It should have more boldness and depth to it. Regarding the word BASH. Like I mentioned in the first requirements. I think you should try to put a little fun element into the word bash. So the the word Bids and Bash look a little different from each other.

Regarding color. They are looking good. Especially what you have attempted in version 3. But I prefer not adding brown in the logo. I don't really like brown color. Try to keep those colors which match well with the blue and grey.

I am sorry but the previous ones looked better then these ones.
You gave got the color combos right but the double BB don't look good. You have to be creative in making it look like a SOLID symbol. Not like just two Bs written in different fonts and tied together. Refer to the Toyota BB logo. It looks so sleek,bold and presentable. Look at this example as well : http://www.biz-logo.com/logo.php?logoid=2595 . Although I didn't like example logo so much but the idea of the double B is interesting in this one. I want the logo to present a bold statement. And sleek. Plus the text of Bids Bash don't look so good either. By now the requirements I have posted from beginning are very clear. I do understand that I require much creativity from your side but the over all idea in my opinion is well explained. I said in my last feedback the the horizontal display is good. You should have kept that. I like the logo to be smart. BB symbol incorporated in a way that it seems that its perfectly placed. Right now the BB looks like a different logo and the text looks like a different logo. All of the items should fit with each other nicely. I did say simple but I never said the logo to be too simple and cartoonish looking.
I really hope the next revision would be a much better one.

I really liked your work.

Here is my feedback:
Firstly its Bids Bash, not Bid Bash. You mistakenly used Bid Bash for entry 1 and 2.
Now regarding the symbol. I suggest you play with it a little. I mean firstly try to make something clever using BB. You have used single B in your entries. If you can pull of the symbol right then the rest of the font is not a problem. But I want something striking in terms of symbol. Also kindly refer to the remarks i made to the other designer above. I also posted some references of the sign which you can use. Regarding font. I will hold my feedback on that because once you have got the symbol right then I am sure that we can fix the font accordingly as well.

I like your entries.

Here is my feedback:
Regarding the first one. I like how you displayed the symbol. Can you try to keep the same direction and provide me with some more modified versions of the symbol similar to this ? I mean I like this one but if you could do a few more modified/similar versions, that would be great. Although the font used in the first one is not so appealing so do change that.

Regarding the second one. I didn't like the symbol as its plain B . The font how ever looks kinda better as compared to the first one.

I think you should play the with symbol like mentioned above and also regarding the font. I think you should use two different fonts for Bids and Bash. Bids should have a similar bold display and the Bash could have a Bold and a stylish cursive sort of display. I am not 100% sure that I will like it but I just wanna see how that looks.

A note to all the designers who have sent the entries so far and to the ones who plan to submit their entries:

Firstly i strongly suggest that you go through my first instructions carefully to understand what exactly the requirements are. Also i would like to request that you kindly refer to the feedback i have provided to the entries so far so you all can better understand the direction i am going for.

Although the things that i would like to see in the logo are explained in the initial requirements and the feedback, but an over all suggestion i want to make to everyone is that the symbol and the font should be such that they both support each other. I don't like that the both don't balance each other, so they don't like as if two different logos are combined together.

I appreciate the new entries from both of you but the reason I delayed the feedback so much is because I am not sure what feedback I should provide. I am really happy from both of you and also others who have posted their entries so far. And I also appreciate your effort so far but guys I am not loving the logos. None of the logos so far are up to the point that I can say that this is something I am going for. When I provide feedback, I expect that the next entries are a big step forward as compared to the previous ones but you guys are circling in more of less the same direction as you were in your first entries.

@Sobi : I like your attempts better. But not to the extent that I can say "YES, thats what I am going for" the symbol sure did gain my interest a little bit. But it doesn't strike me. The big flaw is that neither the symbol balances the text, nor the text balance out the symbol. So here is my suggestion:
Based on all the requirements and feedback I have provided to everyone, please come up with something entirely different from what you have posted so far. Like I said that the logos are good. But they still look as if there are two different logos joined together. Please read all my feedback that I made to you and others and understand them better and come up with completely new entries.

@gooddesigner: Your new entries are good too. And I know I told you to keep the same direction and I can see that you somewhat followed my feedback but dude, you haven't pulled off nicely. Its same problem that I posted above for "Sobi" the symbol and text don't balance each other.
PLUS the biggest problem I see is that first , these new entries now look like a sports logo. Plus I may be wrong but these logos are similar to a sports logo i have seen somewhere.
So my suggestion to you is the same that I have gave "Sobi" : Based on all the requirements and feedback I have provided to everyone, please come up with something entirely different from what you have posted so far. Like I said that the logos are good. But they still look as if there are two different logos joined together. Please read all my feedback that I made to you and others and understand them better and come up with completely new entries.

Nice entries. I specifically liked the second one. First one didn't gain my attention so much but second one is good. Two things which I am confused about about the symbol in the second logo. Firstly its kinda looking like a flower, don't you think ? Also I may be wrong but this symbol/logo seems too similar to some other brand. I am not sure which one but I guess some TV logo i guess. Can you please check and verify that this logo is not similar to a already famous brand ? Because one thing that will damage my brand more then a bad logo would be a similar logo to an already established brand and i am sensing that I have already seen a very similar logo somewhere.

Correct me if I am wrong.
