    Hello,
    just a quick poll
Would you go with a dotcom or dot org? Where 2 words in dot org a strong keyword like as creditcard.
    Thanks

    .com all day every day

4-word dot com, over any .org if this (corrupt) .org sale goes through.

future uncertain for non-profit .org price; don't put urself there, until sale blocked.!!

ICANN supposed to protect the integrity of the internet,

Imagine having ratified a .org contract with NO CAP PRICE hikes,

Which one? .com, which else, save yourself the headache

Be warned that these sorts of discussions are only theoretical .. as when it comes to any specific instance, the answer is always 100% dependent on the specific domains...

    There is no correct answer.

Even more important is that while "credit card" can technically be 2 words, it is a single term. So while it's not a single word, it's significantly better than two unrelated words.
(And I'm not even sure if Creditcard specifically is one word or two .. but you know what I mean in general)

That being said ... I'd say that in general on average ...

    1- top tier 1-word .com
    2- lower tier 1-word .com
    3- top tier 1-word .org
    4- top tier 2-word .com
    5- lower tier 1-word .org
    6- lower tier 2-word .com
    7- top tier 3-word .com
    8- top tier 2-word .org
    9- lower tier 3-word .com
    10- lower-tier 2-word .org

Again though .. when looking at deciding between two specific domains .. NEVER use any general guide .. INCLUDING MY OWN .. every domain is unique .. and using some general guideline to decide which is better without taking into account the unique attributes of each specific domain is a good indication that someone quite simply does not understand domains in general.

To hold or to flip I recently met others with this way of thinking as end user.

Agree with @Ategy to a large extent and to add to what he said, .Com and .Org have very distinct purpose. For instance, anyone would prefer Buy A Car dot com over Buy A Car dot org. But when we compare, Feed The Hungry dot com with Feed The Hungry dot org, you get a completely different sum-up.

    HTH,
