Here there are. (excuse my english)

1. What's the importance or the word order ?
Let's take the following example (data is not true, it's just for the illustration purpose)
DVDBurner.com is taken but BURNERDVD.com is not.
Let's suppose "DVD Burner" has a very high OVT score.
So, does BURNERDVD.com has a good value or the order destroys it ?
As a newbie I guess it's less valuable because it's more unlikely to get type-ins but those are still 2 very good keywords so it's not totally worthless. Right ?

2. What about the .net extension when a .com is taken (without a trademark issue)?
Let's take DVDBURNER.com again.
What about DVDBURNER.net ?
Does this have a good value or not ?

3. What about the plural ?
Again with DVDBurner.com
What would be the value of DVDBurners.com ?
What about the ovt of "DVD burners" ? Is the plural omitted by the search engine so it has the same ovt score than "DVD burner" ?

Thanks

I would say to keep away from all the above 3. If you are a newbie then investing your money even if it is $6.95 is not a good idea on burnerdvd.com or dvdburner.net or dvdburners.com

Thanks.

I'm not a pro by any means but one thing i would like to share is that when buying domains for reselling them keep in mind the potential of finding end users for the domain(s) you buy.

Also try to find/buy domains with traffic and park them to earn some residual income to pay for the anual reg fees.

Browse the forums a lot searching through threads and reading up on them and ask more questions if your questions remain unanswered.

Exactly. If you even find a domain name that you think will give you a million dollars. Ask yourself that if this is not sold then will it give you $10 per year.

Bcoz if you cannot even get your registration fees out of it then the downfall starts.

I would say that depending on your domain name and your end user that word order can mean a great deal. What we sometimes have to remember is that a lot of buyers are buying the domain for their offline or real world business use. They want something that sounds good verbally or looks good on their business card. In this case, burnerdvd.com is not nearly as valuable to them as dvdburner.com because it doesn't sound as natural. Most end users aren't as concerned with OVT or SEO as we are.

This is not to say that improperly ordered words are never worth buying, just pointing out info relating to end users who are not domainers.
