.mobi 3 Letter .Mobi's

Hey, i have been keeping an eye on the 3 letter .Mobi's since launch and it seems they are getting snapped up quiet quickly. This is a good sign for .Mobi owners and looks like they could be a good investment for the future.
And i think even more will be taken when the cheaper registration prices come out.

Personally i have only picked up 2 but i think it will end up around 10 when all names have been taken.

What are your thoughts and when do you think we will see the last 3 letter .mobi taken?

I bought ILE.Mobi and OIP.Mobi what did you get?

Pool released a list of .mobi's they were getting rid of due to MIA customers a few days ago, and there were a LOAD of 3 char. .mobi's.

HEV.mobi (Hybrid Electric Vehicle
IRD.mobi (The .org sold for around $9k)
ITP.mobi (Lots of search results and nice sounding and letters)
MEH.mobi (Becoming a more popular expression via sms ect)
MYP.mobi (My Phone)
NSM.mobi (Nice sounding and letters, MSN backwards)
RGM.mobi (Nice letters, could mean Ringtones, Games Music)
CNM.mobi (Nice letters, typo for CNN)
RCH.mobi (Nice letters, could be used for SEA.RCH.mobi)

A couple more purchased, but then, I MUST . . . STOP . . . REG'ING . . . 3-LETTER . . . MOBIs!

TGO.mobi ("to go")
LIX.mobi (self-explanatory, I suppose, but could be roman numeral "59")


I also missed out on a couple I found last night, simply by waiting until this morning to register them: "UPI.mobi" (apparently United Press International didn't think to grab it, but someone did this morning) and "XFM.mobi" (had a good radio feel to it). Oh well. Anyone here get those?

Now we just have to wait until all 3 letter .mobi's have been taken before we start seeing some offers come in!

The fact that they weren't snapped up at the start shows it all. IMHO. It's like a foreign domain name extension... worthless.

There have been a lot of 3 letter .mobi's already taken although the $60 registration fee is pricey we will see all of them gone within a few days of the price cut.

I don't know about that...I'll look for an edit to your post in about a year.

There is some serious players pushing mobi forward and it is something new in that mobi sites require new (or modified) coding and there have been a few posts about how newer phones will default to the mobi extension. If that is true, mobi will be a hands-down success imho.

Also, there are quite a few LLL and NNN gone. I just snapped up my very last one: PUZ.mobi :gn:

I agree 100%. If that happens the prices will go through the roof overnight and traffic will be great for those that have invested wisely :imho: Time will tell.

Yep i think it will have to be pushed to the phone manafacturers although nokia and erikson are already on the .mobi websites we may see this soon. I think within 2 years we will see this happen. IMO

This isn't a 3 letter .mobi, but I just regged - TLDs.mobi. Thought it might be good for those that want to reg domains on the go!
