You can transfer out after 60 days as any other provider and normally will take about 5 calendar days to complete the outtransfer process. You can read these link to have more information

speculation is what that guy did. with bogus info without even a source or link to back it up.
starting false rumors, wasting people time.

directnic charges nothing extra to transfer out. like most decent registrars do not. unless they're operating out of, luba,kazakhstan population 55... out of a bunker made of cow dump... and a donkey with wifi antenna parked outside for internet.
