2FA at GoDaddy

Since we had so many account breaches lately at Godaddy I think it's about time to use 2 factor authentication.

But do they have any (printable) backup codes?

How do I get access if I lose my phone?

Obviously - but how do I prove I'm the owner?
Do they ask for scan of ID? Do I have to fax them something?

If you lose your phone, you can always ask your mobile service provider to replace your sim card with the same number... Simple

I guess I'm more concerned about delayed or lost SMS (I've heard their 2FA is not very reliable).
So If I can't use backup codes I'm not even sure if it's worth the trouble (contacting support every time I'm locked out) - I often log in a few times a day.

You know what I think for now I'll stick to the best protection from theft: not owning anything worth stealing :P

In past 3 months, I haven't faced any issue where I receive SMS is receiving late or didn't receive.

I always came in few seconds.

Also keep your details genuine. You get it unlocked by providing photo ID upon verification.
