I am creating a site called northwestcuisine.com. It will be a tripadvisor site for cuisine in the northwest.

What I think would look really cool is a chef, with a chefs hat, maybe holding out his hand displaying "northwestcuisine.com. This is only an idea. Please go for it because many times I end up picking someone elses idea!

I also need the chef to be a charactor too. I want to use him to walk the customers through the sign-up and membership part of the site so the winner will get to give me different impressions of the image (for an extra fee) of course.

7 days 200.00 bucks. Winner will be paid with paypal, np bucks, or check.

sorry for the late reply. Seattle was SHUTDOWN until about an hour ago.

Northwest is green, pine trees, wind and rain. Koncepts, your design kicks ass but its too red and fire like. Not northwest. Its a BBQ logo.

Keep them comming.

You've been commenting on your other contest without problems so surely you can come up with a better reason than that for not commenting on this one. Well count me out of this contest. I sure do hope Lithium and Koncepts are either the same person (strangely) or working together for it to be your favorite pick so far. Otherwise that says you don't mind a logo that copies another; just as long as you get what you want. And "sorry" but I don't design for such people. Withdrawing my entry.

All the best to designers that are unique.

sorry for the delay in response my computer has been on the fritz. i am completely taken aback by this. i cannot believe that koncepts had the shear odacity to blantantly steal my concept. this is just plain rediculous and discented thank you so much for not letting this go. i am not working with kocepts in any way shape or form, i wouldn't work with some as devious at this. i am blown away that some people have the balls to do this stuff and don't show any remorse. as an artist the worst thing you can do is plagerise, it's just plain despicable.

and let it be known that all my concepts are ALWAYS 100% original, if they apear the same or similar to another product this is purely co-incidental.

and philfischer, why didn't you commment on my concepts, or did you comment towards koncept's go for mine too, after all he DID steal it. you told him his was fantastic, but you didn't say a thing about mine? so how about some feedback for me?

Uh, Phil that post was made 8 days ago there guy. Apparently you do feel the need to explain yourself otherwise you wouldn't have commented on a post that was posted 8 days ago. Let it go. Ok. I like to design for people who represent something I like to represent me. And how you somehow skipped over some posts showing proof of the copycat and picked the copycat's design as your favorite ANYWAY does say a lot about you whether you want to admit it or not. You don't represent something I wish to design for that's the reason for my withdrawal. Simple as that. And second, I'm a woman not a man. :) And as for your power outage excuse, my comments don't change; reasons speak for itself.

I sure am interested to know who the winner of this contest will be though.

EDIT: Congratulations ABU! B-) Thumbs up to all other unique designers!

Abu gabby's. I like it ABU, but I want some changes. I want you to get rid of the shovel and maybe have a ferry in the background also next to the pines. Basically, I am calling you the winner, but we need some changes on the logo.P
Thanks Phil! I will have this ready to go in a couple of hours. FYI, the chef is leaning against an axe to represent the logging industry. LOL...no worries.

LOL. You like abu's better NOW. You're only fooling yourself. My advice, quit while you're ahead. You're only making yourself look bad the more you try to defend what just can't be defended with the evidence.

By all means, don't take my word for it. Read the thread and (http://www.namepros.com/design-contests/269677-hey-mods-what-is-going-take.html). Pay attention to the dates and times and who posted what. And make sure you read your comments as well when you finally posted. And then ask yourself, how could you have NOT known your favorite design, the one from koncepts (which I might add was directly below the design he ripped), was a rip of Lithium's design? Never mind other customers because we're just talking about you. How could YOU not have known?! All this proof for you TO know was posted on the 15th by quite a few people and you didn't reply until the 16th. Funny thing is if nobody got on you about it and made sure mods handled the situation since you didn't seem to care, you would have continued to try to put on this act like you didn't know it was a rip no matter what proof was shown to you before AND after the fact. The exact reason why you don't represent something I want to represent me. I don't know why anyone would unless they're just desperate for money.

I've observed contests on other forums where the chosen design is a proven rip and the CH (customer) STILL picked the ripped design as a winner. Such forums aren't properly managed either. But thankfully, this one is where mods will actually DO something about it.

There's really nothing left to say. The thread speaks for itself. All of it. Now you be a man about this and stop playing dumb. I won't be back on this thread. So if you still have a problem with the truth as it's so wonderfully laid on throughout the thread. Then please take the time to talk to someone whom you can fool.

Other than that, Happy Holidays to You & to All! :santa:

I have been with this thread since the beginning and I don't see what all the hullabaloo is. As he said, Phil is a customer. His purpose is to get a product that he wants. It is not his responsibility to police the designs...his only purpose for being in this thread is to provide us the opportunity to provide him a service. It is the responsibility of the mods and the designers to police the designs and if we see an obvious rip (as in koncept's case) then we handle it.

To me and to you koncept's "design" was obviously a rip...but to the lay-person they were sufficiently different as to not be obvious.

I am relatively new here, but allow me to say that this should not be a forum that is considered hostile to contest hosts. I for one am glad Phil is here and I am glad that he posts contests, knows what he is looking for and pays quickly. Just check his feedback. I have entered designs in many contests the past couple of weeks and none of the hosts has been as responsive as Phil has. Two even bailed on the contests after receiving some very nice work from the talent here. I say we need more hosts like Phil.
