Logo Contest - $25

I am starting a logo contest for a brand new business I am starting. This logo will be used on a new website (has yet to be designed), letterhead, business cards, and other promotional material. It should be noted that the majority of this business will be conducted OFFLINE.

All work should be in vector format.

Business Name: Columbia Yacht Sales

Info: This business will be a yacht brokerage in the Northwest. We are close to a lot of rivers here in oregon, so that could be incorporated into the design. Also, Mt. Hood is also within about 45 min so some sort of a mountain could also work. Overall theme should be nautical, upscale, and professional. here is a link to the main line of yachts we will be representing.

Time frame: approx 72 hours. If i don't have a solid winner by the end of the 72 hours i may extend the contest.

The-YoungLat -- it's "Yacht" not "Jacht". Also, that is a shipping vessel, not a yacth.

Thank you everyone for their entries. Here is feedback and rankings.

1.Will7 - Great Work. Love the colors and design. Any way to work a yacht into the graphic? Not required, but would like to see what you could do? Also, I assume the graphic to the right is suppose to be a river? Any way to add a ripple, or a small wave just to make it more clear?

2. Gio - Like the colors, The art in the "O" of Columbia i am not very fond of. Also, if a graphic of a boat or yacht is going to be used it needs to be more professional looking than that.

3. Sbongo - Design is a little to simple. This needs to be part of our Identity as a company and needs to be memorable.

The young-lat - I think the graphic on the bottom is kinda distracting, also the ship graphic is too large and dominates the graphic.

OK, i understand now Will. I do like it and have consulted with my partners and they were able to see they yacht when i wasn't. I would like to see the modified version though still. Thanks.

Eman - This puts you in 2nd place behind Will. "Yacht Sales" in a different font perhaps. The yacht graphic doesn't look quite right.

guetizo - I like the concept, but the sail kind of goes against our primary business activity, which is selling yachts. We will probably not be in the sail boat business. Thank you for your entry though.

Hi, here is my submission. This is 100% original vector artwork that can be provided in .eps, .png, .jpg, .gif, as well as other formats upon request. The yacht I drew freehand for another logo awhile back but we ended up using a completely different concept all together so we never used it. This would be perfect for any and all identity purposes in my opinion and I hope it suits what you are looking for!
