Logo Contest - $25

I am starting a logo contest for a brand new business I am starting. This logo will be used on a new website (has yet to be designed), letterhead, business cards, and other promotional material. It should be noted that the majority of this business will be conducted OFFLINE.

All work should be in vector format.

Business Name: Columbia Yacht Sales

Info: This business will be a yacht brokerage in the Northwest. We are close to a lot of rivers here in oregon, so that could be incorporated into the design. Also, Mt. Hood is also within about 45 min so some sort of a mountain could also work. Overall theme should be nautical, upscale, and professional. here is a link to the main line of yachts we will be representing.

Time frame: approx 72 hours. If i don't have a solid winner by the end of the 72 hours i may extend the contest.

square - Overall looks to dark, perhaps try a different font. Thanks for the entry.

Sylense - The colors are what i am looking for, but the yacht is a little off. That looks more like a cruise ship (very nice drawing though). If you had a different pic it may work well.

Milan - I like the idea of water below and using reflections. As stated, a sailboat won't really work for our line of business. Perhaps having a mountain outline reflected in the water?

square - Looks much better with the new colors. Still not wild about the boat graphic. A little to boxy for me.

Thanks for the feedback. Here is my revision... I drew something that is more of what you're looking for in a yacht... Hope you like!

*Oh and on the yacht, I actually have a more detailed version of this yacht also but I removed all of the excessive lines because it would stand out better at different sizes.... too much detail I think would ruin the effect if it was on lets say for instance, a business card or something. But if you would like to see the more detailed version of the yacht... let me know!

Feedback - thank you everyone for your submissions. I will be ending this contest today at 7:00 PM PST. Here are the rankings as of today.

1. Will7 - We like both of your designs very much. It is a hard decision even between these two. Not sure if i like the word "sales" bold in the second edition, but that is easily enough changed.

2. Emon - I like the design, but the sailboat does not really fit. Can you remove the sailboat and maybe add a river that would flow out in front of the lettering?

3.Flashguy - I love the initial design, if i were to be starting a sailboat brokerage. As it sits with the revised yacht where the sailboat was it doesn't look quite right. If you can come up with an alt image it may make the difference.

Everyone else - I thank everyone so much for their contributions. This has been my first contest, but will definitely not be my last. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for me on how to run the contest better, i am always open for suggestions.
