Yeah, if you go to SecureWebs you can manage your account from there. The domains I regged aren't critical and so far, for $2.95, it hasn't been that much of a hassle.

I had regged 2 domains about a week ago or so as a test.

I had two seperate accounts which I was able to combine into one.

Prevously I believed Name Servers could not be changed by the User
and their Rep confirmed this. However...

you CAN change the DNS but NOT from the Control Panel. The domain is locked and you cannot Unlock it yourself but if you go to:

https://manage.safesecureweb.com/

You can Lock/Unlock, Change Name Servers, Get Auth Code, etc
BUT you will need to get your User Name and Password from the company since it's different from your regular User Name and Password
AND you cannot change this User name or Password.

Is it worth it?

HostMySite is a Tucows Reseller and cannot register .US domains automatically in real time.

If you Reg .US domains with them it's best to immediately call them
and have the Rep manually register them otherwise the domains
won't be registered for quite some time and someone else can
register the domains first.

This is especially true for dropped domains.

I found this out when a bunch of .US domains I regged were not showing
as registered at the Registry even after a few hours.

I called and the Rep manually regged them.

.Us domains require additional info that other extensions do not
such as US residency verification and Purpose of Registraton.

I have registered a few .Coms and they were registered immediately.

After regging thru your account at HostMySite.com you can go
directly to manage.safesecureweb.com and change Name Servers, etc.

It's been quite easy to manage the domains and you can change
User Name and Password easily even though 2 different reps told me
you could not.

Account ownership change is easy also and you could move all
domains into one account if you wanted.

Thanks for mentioning this.. yes, I found that out myself when I checked and saw my US domains hadn't been registered in "real time". Support, however, has been super and very fast, even over the Christmas holiday!
