There is a domain buyer posting on namepros...

When I sent him list of domains...he replied back with interest but subject to buying appraisal from his given link website before he buys the domain

This seems doubtful and fake. ..dont pay anything for appraisals since this seems doubtful.

BEWARE ..a advice from a fellow domainer.

I knew it was him. I can't believe the community haven't done anything to stop this guy, he has been around forever. I didn't even bother to send him any names, because my gut feeling has always been off with this guy.

How about deleting the entire account, and monitor certain parts of the forum better? Some bells should ring, when a random guy asks for new gTLDs with what seems to be an unlimited budget.

Yes, indeed. If I remember correctly, I did in fact send him some names over a month ago. He replied he was not interested, but suggested me to head over to Brands / International for any given reason.

I suspect he only targets new and uneducated members with his appraisals then. Because any seasoned domainer would put him to rest.

I never heard of him before, but I saw the post earlier and thought something was fishy about it.
New gtlds, don't care about renewal feels, can pay up to 3k, and somehow have zero ratings and no way message but to go off the platform and do it privately.

All these things doesn't guarantee it's a scam, but when doing due diligence, these things carry a certain smell. And was he asking for appraisals and promoting brands.international?

So someone should spend $100 to $500 on a appraisal for a new GTLD?
With no guarantee of you buying?

You should have an idea on what names are valuable before you make requests, because a domainer will not spend up to $500 for an appraisal to submit their name for you to consider buying it.

And build your reputation: You said one name purchased? So ask that buyer to write you a positive review here on namepros?

rofl, some community members and moderators are busy defending this guy, would they care? I'm doubtful. They are moralists, deleting every foul words here and there is enough to them and pretend everything is at peace and in harmony and Utopia is near.
