.mobi #1 For "Free Texting" & Submit Your Developed .mobis

I was browsing my server logs and saw a referral from Virgin Mobile's search engine. I played around with it and found my .mobi - http://txta3.mobi - ranks #1 for the phrase Free Texting, ranks #2 for Free Text Messaging and ranks #3 for Free Text, it comes second and third only to Virgin's own services. The cool thing is the .mobi part of the domain is displayed.

Virgin Mobile's search is powered by JumpTap which is trying to be the Google of the mobile web. If you have a developed .mobi that is compliant then you can submit your site to their mobile search index. Check out their site: http://jumptap.com/content_overview.aspx .

What little traffic my sites receive is from: http://la.jumptap.com/la/wap/r

Otherwise Vcool's Dir.mobi sends the rest. Google and Yahoo account for nothing.

JumpTap sends real mobile traffic showing in the user agent log. Perhaps JumpTap is the future of mobile searching. They seem very Dot-Mobi friendly.

Something else I found (very cool) was my site Nu4.mobi being on page 3 of popular searches and I get traffic from it!
