.mobi Jumptap Hits

The last few weeks I have notice a steady increase of traffic from Jumptap in my log files. My .mobi sites seem to be ranked very high in their search engine providing traffic from real mobile User Agents. Needless to say, I am very happy seeing some mobile device traffic.

Virgin Mobile's version: http://vg.jumptap.com/vg/wap/

Far as Google and Yahoo I get very little traffic of which most is from PC based browser agents. Jumptap seems to be what .mobi needs to push real mobile traffic our way.

How is your mobile traffic and where is it originating from?

hi Don .. ya im getting the same hits for http://klubs.mobi about 30 hits a day from jumptap. i believe they supply mobile search results for a price.

Have you seen a major increase in various "WapBots" lately?

Today I found a new one in my log: (compatible; wapstart-crawler/2.0; [email protected])

I think we might be seeing the start of a mobile (wap) search boom.

actually yes don .. when i check my log files im getting lots of unidentified spiders downloading my entire site. im guessing this is from wap spiders .. do you get alot of hits from http://home.device ? and your right about about google and yahoo .. i get about 5-10 hits a day from the two

Yes, today 2 versions of that spider hit both sites. I am getting hit with 10 to 15 different spiders. Today the JumpTap spider hit Travel2 again.

I have been getting a little traffic from Google/xhtml search. However my rank seems best in various Yahoo searches.
