I've never used Network Solutions, but this may be the right time to start: they're currently offering $1.95 new registrations and transfers of .com, .net, .org, .us, .biz, .info and .name domains with coupon code NS195FBOOK. Any warnings for first time NetSol customers?

Is it for American only?

That's an amazing price. Aside from being prohibitively expensive, and aside from the remnants of their attitude from when they ruled the domain world, I have had no problems with them. I've never had problems transferring out.

I'd love to get other opinions on these, 'cause if it's true, it's going to be pretty costly for non-US customers to transfer out.

I can't see why people just go to the site and research

There are 3 processes for preparing a Domain Name for transfer:
โ€ข Turning off Domain Protect and Requesting your Authorization Code
โ€ข Deactivating Private Registration, if you purchased it for the Domain Name
โ€ข Making sure that the WHOIS Administrative Contact e-mail address is correct
1) To turn off Domain Protect and request your Authorization Code
a) Go to www.networksolutions.com and click on MANAGE ACCOUNT
b) Enter the User ID and Password for your Network Solutionsยฎ Account.
c) Click on My Domain Names under the My Products and Services tab.
d) If you have only one domain name, continue to the next step, if you have multiple Domain Names, click Manage to the right of the domain name you are making the changes for.
e) In the Domain Add Ons section, click Turn Off or Request Authorization Code in the Domain Protect row.
f) On the next page, mark the circle next to Leave Domain Protect Off, Check the box for Request Authorization Code*, then click Save.
The Domain Name is now unlocked in your Account Manager, it may take up to 24 hours for the update to show throughout the internet. Your Authorization Code will be e-mailed to the Primary Contact within 15 minutes of clicking Save.
*Authorization Codes are not required for .bz, .cc, .eu, .gd, .im, .tc, .tv, .vg, and .ws extensions

Thanks for your reply, but you know, I prefer receiving some insight from members who already experienced the situation rather than a FAQ page, which sometimes may not disclose all needed details.

Tried both the link and the code and could not get them to work. Calling them reminded me why I don't use them (If seeing the $34.99/year regular price already hadn't).

is there anybody know the answer?

The terms I saw said "one per order". Don't know if multiple orders per account would be allowed.

On Jan 2, their facebook page said: " Today is the last day of $1.95 domains on our Facebook page Offer tab. Claim your $1.95 domain today before itโ€™s too late!"

Wow! It's such a great deal.

You have actually to "Like" their Facebook offer, after that the banner is becoming clickable and drives you to a landing page where you can register or transfer a domain for $1.95. The discount is already reflected in your shopping cart, there's no need to enter any coupon code to redeem the offer. Bear in mind that you have to remove the extra second year that's already in your shopping cart in order for the order total to reflect $1.95.

I've read some previous posts in their Facebook wall and they clearly say that this offer is not limited to one domain per user only! Just one domain per order! (This is also clearly stated in the offer Terms and Conditions) Does that mean we can register or transfer as many domains as we want? :o

The only thing that makes me nervous is what happens if you can't transfer out your domains after the first year. Do you have to renew at their current renewal rates?

Do you have the link? I could not find the $1.95 offer on their facebook wall, only a couple of notices saying that it is ending and that it is over.

If that is also clearly stated in the offer Ters and Conditions as you say, then yes, you are supposed to be able to.

Per ICANN rules they are supposed to allow you to transfer (if you follow the proper procedure). I guess they could make it a pain to try to get you to stay.

If they really want you to call them to get your Auth code to transfer out, from the EU it would be a very expensive process...

Not with Skype...
Edit: Expensive in terms of time, yes, more so that copying and pasting codes.

I've never had to call them to transfer out. That sounds more like register.com. Either way, international phone calls are dirt cheap these days.
