How does Nameworth appraise the value of a domain? In the attached PDF, Nameworth appraises ZainLLC.com as having a $24,500 retail price but there is not much analysis or reasoning provided. Any idea?

Hello,
Does a Professional Appraisal makes a difference when negotiating with someone who seems cannot grasp the high value of a domain name, maybe he has the money, but he does not understand about domain valuations, so a third party Professional Appraisal will make a difference?

Relatively new to domaining and am learning on the fly. I gather this has to do with appraisal value but what exactly does Low-xx to High-xx mean numerically and is the value expressed as a price for what sort of user? Thx.

Seems new - that website says it gets 100 people to rate your domain for $289, so who are the raters and what do they get paid?

As reported today by Elliot Silver, the NFTs.com domain name changed hands in a USD $15 million transaction.
I’ve long been a critic of automated appraisal tools. Let’s take a look at how they did valuing the NFTs.com domain name.

Define valuable. Is “a 2-3 letter .com with an egregious use-case history” more valuable than “a hand-registered 22-character domain name with prospects”? To be clear, this isn’t a question of which TLD is really “king”. It’s a matter of how investor morals, values and principles are factored...

I've just plotted "Sale v Estimate" (using Namebio & GoValue) for 100 domains and thought you may be interested.
One challenge for domainers is how to estimate the value of domains. This has led to automated tools (e.g. Estibot, GoValue) but how much can we really trust them?
From this...

I've never liked domain appraisal tools but came across Nameworth so I thought I'd give them a try.
What has been your experience? Are their appraisal prices realistic or is it just like the rest?

Brandbucket appraised one of my domains between $150k and $180k. I chose to list it on the lower end for $150k. However, I'm very skeptical that it will sell at this price. It’s to high IMO, and I don't have the option to list it for less. In fact they appraised some of my 3L domains for less...

I was browsing through the Appraisal section and came across an article that could be seen as a benchmark for any domain appraisal - self or professional.
Here is the link to this carefully and beautifully drafted appraisal by Eric Lyon

Hey all,

I requested an appraisal the other time, and now I regret it, I didn't get good appraisals but that's not the problem, now it's all visible on Google's first page. Namepros should stop making appraisals visible on search engines because that harms future sells. I will never ask for an appraisal...

Appraising domains is a very subjective initiative. Even if done right, the valuation can significantly change over a short period of time. There are many variables that are not even considered in most cases.
If you have to ask others what they value your domains at, then you are in trouble...

Hi, I have LLLL.net domain, Estibot calculated value for it is $6200 & GD $933.
Both appraisal values are very different, which is approximately correct?

Here is one more reason why automated appraisal tools cannot be trusted.
I put in a 2 word .com domain just registered. Both words are popular on their own, and they make sense together. It got a poor result in Estibot.
WHY IT'S NOT VALUABLE:
Low Interest: all popular extensions, including...

This question is asked hundreds of times a day across dozens of domainer forums, here and elsewhere.
We battle with this question every time we place a BIN figure on a listing. We’re constantly questioning whether we are leaving money on the table.
Could I ask for more? Should I ask for less...
