No, I don't live in Sint Maarten.

Typically I avoid new extension releases but there has been a keyword I have wanted for some time that's been taken in every extension. Decided to get in this extension since I was able to.

Ok, I was going to check what kind of keywords are still available.
I tried registry.sx but their own domain checking doesn't work. Than I tried some of the registrars listed at their site. What was kind of ridiculous is, for the same keyword, at some registrars the domain was taken and at others was available. So which one do have I trust?

I used Dynadot which worked out pretty well for me. Give that one a shot and see what it does.

Thanks, I tried them too. Seems every domain I tried is taken. I guess they (the registry) took every generic keyword....
Edit: Yes almost every generic keyword is taken. Useless ccTLD....

1 Year Registration $34.95 USD for a Sint Maarten domain name with a estimated 2010 population of only 37,429. For that cost I will not be taking any chances with this one.

How are these good names ? Because .sx could be a typo of the .sex TLD that doesn't exist yet ? :hehe:

I was going to register a few generic keywords (I guess I was the only one here to do that :p), but since all I tried was taken, I changed my mind.
It is wired that so many keywords are taken....

I bought one - Supercross.sx

SX is used as an abbreviation for Supercross motorcycle racing.

IMO Asian.sx was worth the reg fee, nothing more. I would have taken the 1% chance :P

No kidding: "Sux" is the airport desigation for Gateway Airport in Sioux City.

When the designations were being assigned, Sioux City had the choice between SUX or GAY. Being in a conservative area, they choose SUX.

The airport gift shop sells "SUX" memorabilia.



At those prices, I think I'll pass on this ccTLD.
