Hello:
I recently cancelled my account for "geraldgibson.com" with 1and1 Ionos because of their customer service as well as the fact they jacked up the price. When I tried to communicate with a person in their customer service I couldn't understand them. I had to communicate through emails, which were delayed or not forthcoming. I realize they are a megalithic company, but what I don't need is not an industry giant; I need a host provider I can count on and is worth the money. What I want in such a company is (1) and simple interface, (at the most reasonable rate), (2) an easy transition (preferably using my old domain name which is still for sale, and (3) a good customer service. My original domain is so unique (geraldgibson.com) it has remained for the past couple of months available. I have all my website date on hand and the master of my website locally. What I need is a host provider that can swoop in and get me up and running, without charging me a huge entry fee. Secondly, I would like a host provider that will help me get traffic onto my website. With 1an1, my traffic was abysmally low. It might seem as if I am asking a lot but, considering that I am retired and on a fixed income, it's what I need.
Thank you, ---- Inkspot (Gerald)
