Can I use a single dictionary word without trademark issue?
Unless you are able to register a trademark for these things. But if you're selling anything related to phones or computers, you'll have a problem.
ThanksTry and register your own trademark, then you can use it. The process for doing this will be very useful for you for the purposes of learning.
ThanksIt all depends.
If you own Apple.uk and you're selling apple cider on that website, you should be fine.
But if you're selling anything related to phones or computers, you'll have a problem.
ThanksSearch trademark database. Almost all popular dictionary words have multiple trademarks. It doesn’t mean no one else can use it. It means they have locked up certain CATEGORIES for the word with their trademark.
So technically as long as the word can be used in multiple other categories and you have no ads on a lander and you don’t approach a trademark holder…you should be ok
It depends on many factors. If word is trademark and can we use that word + another word for a our domain?
eg: Applexyzxzy.com
Thanks for your response. It depends on many factors.
You might own a business that sells apples.
Your first name or surname might be Apple.
Apple may or may not be a trademark in your country.
You might already have a trademark for the phrase "Apple + another word".
You might be setting up a website for people that live in a town called Apple.
Lots of factors that can come into play.
What do you plan to do with the name? Does it obviously infringe their trademark given the other word?
It's probably not a problem, but it depends on the additional word and if it relates to Apple INCThanks for your response.
I'm planning to flip the name.
The first word is TM and 2nd word is not.
It's generic word like sports. It's probably not a problem, but it depends on the additional word and if it relates to Apple INC
Without knowing the exact domain name, you make it very difficult for us to guide you. It's generic word like sports.
