This trademark is registered for "advertising and business": 73750274So does that mean that if under the goods and services section of any of the above it comes up with marketing then you shouldnt register - vrmarketing.com
Well given that vr.com predates any trademarks for vr, that's not going to happen.Wake me up when vr.com is handed over to them because they have this trademark.
Can these trademark owners sue Mark Zuckerberg for calling Oculus Quest a "VR headset"..Well given that vr.com predates any trademarks for vr, that's not going to happen.
If they believe they are infringing on their trademark then the answer is yes. If not, then no.Can these trademark owners sue Mark Zuckerberg for calling Oculus Quest a "VR headset"..
Can they UDRP a vrmarketing.com if it's regged today?
I think the answer is no.
Can they sue vrporn.com which is a functioning porn website?

Correction, trademark 73750274 was registered in 1988.Well given that vr.com predates any trademarks for vr, that's not going to happen.
Please read the messages above. I'm saying the same thing, duh. No one owns "VR".Anyone can sue anyone for anything. It is a pretty low bar.
"VR" is a well known acronym for virtual reality. If you are worried about terms so generic it would be tough to be a domain investor.

I'm not sure what you mean about nobody owning. The fact is that one or more people have registered rights in "VR" for their respective goods and services. The trademarks that I have mentioned are just the ones in the USA. So VR isn't a complete free-for-all and anyone getting involved in this should do their due diligence and determine the risk. I'm saying that there's a sliding scale based on fact that means that you're more or less likely to be falling foul of the law in respect of the registered marks. Please read the messages above. I'm saying the same thing, duh. No one owns "VR".
would like to know what are those domains, generally a simple google search would outline if any existing business are with that name we registering , I never heard about copyright claims , if you think just a name resembling other business would land you in legal trouble, thats not totally correct , there is delta airlines in USA, and also The Delta Faucet brand using same name delta and there is Delta Dental of CaliforniaHi there - thank you for the reply. So far I have deleted four domains I have registered because although I thought they were a good idea at the time and they were safe to register the more I thought about them I was not so sure. I of course have lost the money I paid to register them so I thought why not pay an experienced person to look at them before I register. I really dont need the hassle.
