The idea about a true "victim" has gotten WAY out of hand. At least in the USA. Period. Sure a vulnerable older person gets robbed and mugged, obviously. But all these other Democrat invoked ideas that their platform resides on keeping people down and stuck as a victim, will be their undoing in 2020. Black unemployment is per statistics the lowest ever, the Democrats are worried about Blacks voting for Trump this time around since they have a job and doing better, the Republicans might even grab enough votes to swing it. Same with Latinos. Trumps Black History month meeting he had to turn away people from what I read, there were so many who wanted to attend. Maxine Waters and Sharpton have made a living off of creating a false sense of victim hood- they have no lead by example, what jobs and opportunity have they created? Now this idiot Kamala is following their playbook.
IMO Nobody is a victim in 2019. The world is wide open for all, its more open full of govt programs, this is the 1960's civil rights movement. All the inclusivity and diversity BS everywhere.
Hate to say it, but even Conservatives getting beaten up at Berkeley setting up a table, attempting at free speech where they know ahead of time there is none, in this liberal infested cesspool college of closed off speech and lacking any open mindedness is risky. Why even attempt to set up a table for conservatives? Historically Berkeley is ultra left wing forever. As a conservative, I ask why these students even go there?
It sucks to get punched and suppose you can say he is a victim, but the guy did it without having any security around and he knows that Antifa resides there whenever a rally- Milo, Ann Coulter, etc. had all sorts of issues attempting to speak on campus. People can choose the level of risk they wish to enter their lives into. If you don't want to get beat up, simply keep your MAGA hat off until you enter the Trump rally, that's not necessary. So, look elsewhere- I see stupid, uninformed or "self important" gringoes enter the 3rd world right off the plane with flashy gold jewelry on and DC bags and simply sorta laugh to myself, they will cry "Victim" when some petty street criminal robs them and takes their stuff. Are they a victim? You need to ask yourself if their own stupidity had something to do with it. They took the risk, they were not smart and that happens. Same with driving an really expensive car in LA, you get carjacked, well sorry your choice exposing your wealth in public. Life requires common sense and risk management. You drink diet coke everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner then get cancer at 30- you sue Coke- that victim mentality to blame Coke for your cancer makes the Trial lawyers rich.
Taking NO personal responsibility is a major problem with North Americans. Huge problem.
Living in the safest, most prosperous country and claiming to be a victim? "Poor me", does not fly at all.
You trip and fall in a crack on the street outside the US? Your fault for being unaware, not looking, not avoiding, or being ignorant is nobody elses fault but your own. Step in front of a bus, tough. You die.
The real world outside the world of lawsuits and lawyers fortunately does not work the same outside the US. You get mixed up with drug dealers? You die. Tough shit. You ride your motorcycle too fast and crash? You die. You live in Malibu and your house burns down? You lose it. Same with Ocean front. Same with Earthquakes. That's why you are supposed to be self insured or have insurance (But it might not pay). You buy a house at the top of the market (Like I have before) and lose a lot of money having to sell it? You lose it. So what. That's life. Your choice, no sympathy for people who are unable to absorb or accept fate for the life isn't fair, and being risky or bad decision makers. Sure plenty of true victim examples are available where someone is criminally harmed by violence. But even Ponzi schemes like Madoff's "Victims" hey they knew the returns were not normal, they knew it was fishy they believed it.
All these people leaving Central America going up north trying and intentionally doing so illegally, they risk a lot. Are they victims? Nope. It's a choice.
