Have you ever purchased, or even sold a domain name through eBay?
If so, what has been your experiences?

In terms of purchasing -

Are many of the names listed there overpriced?
Is there a risk of been scammed?
Have you been scammed?

For selling -

Do you think the fees are reasonable?
Would you recommend it to anyone thinking of listing names there?

How have you found the whole transaction process from start to finish, was it a good or bad experience?

Interested to know your thoughts.

I've found that most domain names for sale on eBay are not very good names and/or over-priced. Sure, you can always find some that start for a low amount, but these are usually newly registered and really have no value above registration fee. For sales, I would only recommend putting domain names there if you have some that you can't sell anywhere else ... but I would try here on NP first! If you have good names, there are much better marketplaces that concentrate on domain names (Sedo, Namejet) where you will find more serious buyers.

I'd read a few posts on here talking about domains on ebay so I had a look the other day.
Well, the asking prices on some of the listings are just hilarious. I'm sure there's a few bargains to be had on there, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I don't bother to regularly look there (I have searched a few times). I tried (unsuccessfully) selling there once, but got no offers above my minimum. I would consider it to sell domain names that I thought would have a lot of interest among non-domainers in a niche that is well represented on eBay (like some crafts and collectables maybe).
