What payment method can we use for this coupon to purchase .com for $1.99, Paypal or Credit Card?

No coupon required just type in name you want and if available will say 1.99

I've been using PayPal to pay for my purchases at NetFirms but it also gives the option to use a credit card.

Nice! hadn't seen this thread, gonna register an account now :)
Is there a limit to the number of coms you can register at $1.99?

UPDATE:
I just registered 5 coms for $9.95 :alien2:
It displayed an error message when I tried to use PayPal but when selected CC it took to PayPal anyway. I couldn't select PayPal balance so I just chose my Visa instead but in the end it did charge my PayPal balance.
The signup was a little confusing cause I didn't get a password. I don't know if I missed something but I ended having to reset the password using one of the domains I'd just registered.
Will try to register a couple more later and see if I still get it at $1.99 :)

Did anyone get their hosting?
If so, happy with their hosting?

well, hosting is not mandatory. You can reg domains alone.

Sometimes it takes time, check after 6 hours and than contact Support if still domain not shows in your account.

@ashybby - is the name showing registered if you check whois? If not, contact support right away. Otherwise it's just a delay showing up in your account. Did you get an email, and/or can you check your payment method to see if you were charged?

@Bean - often after your first purchase, the $1.99 for one year price will go away when you go to your cart, even if it showed in the dropdown. Many of us have decided the two years for $4 is fine, the cart will not have issues if you leave it at the 2/$4 price. I am getting brandables, so it makes sense *for me* since those are likely/potentially a longer hold until they sell.

IF the $1.99 price disappears for you, you can start a ticket or chat and they WILL register them for you at that price, it just takes a little longer. When I have had them register for me I already made a purchase so I just had them use the paypal or CC on file

Yes the signup is a little odd, I actually like the UI now since I have been using it so much!

@usernamex hey, I haven't experienced any issues so far with selecting only 1 year, I just managed to reg another 4 names at $1.99 B-)
I did get a weird glitch at one point where the names were not showing in the cart but they appeared after I refreshed the page. Maybe refreshing the page might work for your glitch too.

BTW anyone knows how long this promo will last for?

It can go away anytime. Though it has been there since a week.

The promotion was expired. Hope all of you registered expected domains.

Yes just tried it and it was gone. Perhaps the quota is up. It did stay at the 1.99 price for quite a while though.

They have run these specials repeatedly, so what I am doing is making what I call a Standby list, names that are good but I wouldn't cry over missing if someone else took them in the meantime. Then wait for the next sale : grin : It seems they have been around 10 days to two weeks between sales.

All the time pricing for .COM (Every Day Low Price? WalMart should sell domains!)
I do not personally have accounts at either of the following, I just know the pricing from seeing other threads
Pre-fund wholesale pricing is $8.03 with prefunding at NameBright, $100 minimum prefund

$8.10 Epik, you have to request the special pricing and appears to be based on volume, renewals $35 otherwise so proceed with caution

TL : DR - if you are new to the superdeals threads, Domain.com is best choice for this offer
Register COM $8.99 - 30% coupon = US$6.29
Transfer COM $8.29 - 30% coupon = US$5.80
Subsequent Renewals COM $11.49

COM base price right now at Dotster and Domain and MyDomain is $8.99, at NetFirms $10.49

Registrar...........Register............Renew.........WHOIS Privacy........Free Features................................................Payment
Domain.com........$8.99 ................$11.49 ...........$8.99 ...........DNS Email Forwarding..................................Credit Card Paypal
Netfirms..............$10.49 ................$13.49 ...........$9.99 ...........DNS 1 Email Accounts Email Forwarding.......Credit Card Paypal
Dotster................$8.99 ................$17.49 ............$8.99 ..........DNS Email Forwarding...................................Credit Card Paypal
ipage $8.99 per year $16.99 per year 1 Year

http://www.mydomain.com/domreg/extension-popup.bml
.com $8.99 per year $11.99 per year 1 Year

All else being equal, Domain.com has cheapest renewal, which makes sense since they are the parent company of the umbrella.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gimme a minute I'll check transfer prices

http://www.dotster.com/domains/transfer.bml
For just $8.29* you can transfer any existing .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz or .us domain name to Dotster.
