No one seems to care about any other names except CHIPS?

I am not a CHIPS person as I cannot predict the trend of chips in the future so I stick with what I know well for the moment (So I can sleep at night!!!)

Just sold an LLL .us yesterday on Afternic for $1,000 after listing here and no one wants to offer even $50 but I can sleep at night with my non chips.

Beside with chips crazy pricing it would take a lot of money to invest so I stay out for now.

Good luck to chips fans.

Real subtle there, amigo. I just have one question for you. Do you ever actually READ discussion threads in other sections of this forum to learn what's been going on in the domain market for OVER THE PAST YEAR!?

No, I've only been involved with domains, domaining and websites for at least the last twelve years. I've seen all the phases, all the ups and downs, and all the "next big things" come and go. Hell, I even moderated on this forum in, can you believe this, the domain appraisal section.

Now that said son, no, I don't read everything because everything isn't worth reading, especially some people's drivel. Go make some money with these domains while you can. I wouldn't mind hearing more from @Apprich though. He makes these domains sound halfway intriguing.

Last time when price was risen to $500 for chips some people thought like this and sold their chips so cheap. When price was rise to 3k they were all regret.

But people who bought at $3k now, what about those people? How will they make a profit?

Chips are already decreasing I've noticed, people here selling for $1900 when it was avg $2500 a couple weeks ago!

In investment there is nothing to regret, opportunity will come and go, if you regret its regret if you don't then its not, but sure it can teach us a lot in business :)

Thanks.

As i said Chips are treated like a stocks in China. So, they bought 3k and now price is 2k and you never know if it will be 5k after 2-3 months.. So If you think price will fallen more to $500 again then wait for that.

It does actually. If it's end users, then it has the potential to grow. If it is simply domain collectors pawning domains off to one another, that makes it a false economy that will eventually collapse.

bingo!

of coure that changes nothing to the fact that a lot of people can (and will) get very rich and very poor within this false economy.

I don't think it will fall to $500 but what I don't want to see is people getting suckered in by these dreams of Chinese riches... Don't lose your shirts.

Exactly how volatile is this particular market, and is there players outside of domainers and Chinese? If there are more players than just these groups, it is something that I could see being sustainable.

Still though, it is going to be painful seeing the drop. There is no way these Chips can rise above a $3000 avg sale price.

What do you think about 4L prices if 5L buyout happens?

If a 5L buyout happens the 4L price will spike by about 10-20% this would be a perfect time to sell and wait for correction. Rinse and repeat IMO

No one knows the future of chips for sure EXCEPT the ones who created the bubble.

No one like me so there is no need to send me hate emails.!!!!

This is one of the true story about bubble maker that Chinese people made in one of the Asian country 35 years ago.

- They go out and buy all the salt they can at the normal price
- Once they have enough in inventory they spread the news that there is a shortage of salt and BUY A SMALL AMOUNT of salt at double or triple the normal price to create a false short in demand
- They then turn around and sell the ones that they bought at regular price to make a nice profit.

They have been famous of doing this for a long time not only in salt but sugar, eggs, etc...

What if you replace the word "salt" with "domain"?

I don't know - that's why I am not a chips fan - but if you think you can make money then do it.

No need to think john. We are already making money with the chips. And we have made lots of money with these chips in the past 2-3 months.

And it's not a bubble. It's just a start of a long term domain game. Chinese are long term investors. We are going to see strong upward movement in domains in 2016. No doubt about it.

Someone here is talking about making money through investment.

Someone here is arguing about making money through investment. Actually he is doing speculation.

One can make money through speculation also but it is rarely sustainable.

As long as tide is there, enjoy the ride. It is good if we know that tide comes in and also goes out
