I wrote back saying I would sell it to them for $450.00 and this was the response I got:

My Response:

I sent him instructions on how he could pay and this was the email he sent back:

Third Email:

In order to process with the deal I need two small things to be accomplished.

1. I need a professional evaluation (appraisal) from you.

It should be from an independent evaluation company. I don't trust automated services from companies I've never heard about.

Without a professional evaluation we both cannot be sure in the final sale price. It will minimize the investing risks.

2. I need the evaluation service with a trademark verification. It's important for us to know that you domain has no problems
with trademarks. Some evaluators include this option in the appraisalsal service.

I asked in the forum about reliable evaluation services. Please read this information:
http://www.forum-windows-club.com/Archive/805697142.htm

If the evaluation comes higher you can change your asking price. After you send me the professional evaluation via email (usually it takes one day to obtain it) we'll be doing business.

What is your preferred payment method: Escrow.com, International wire transfer, PayPal.com or something else?

My Thoughts:

When I went to the website to see what it was it was a cheap forum promoting a Valuation company called: ( DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM)

http://www.domain-cost.com/appraisal.htm

( DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM)

My Thoughts:

At this point I knew what they we're doing and I sent them an email back with my thoughts.

I just want to make sure no one get's caught up in this scam.

BTW, I have not heard back from them since my last email.

Hope this helps you guys!

Moved to Warning and Alerts

This looks like just another appraisal scam. Unfortunately there are people in this world that like to steal and cheat others.

The only way to circumvent this problem is to do your homework on any potential buyer. Also, many times if a buyer is really interested they will have the domain appraised themselves before inquiring about it.

The appraisal scam is about as old as domains themselves, still, it's good to paste the emails for the keywords. Hopefully it will prevent at least one for falling for the scam.

Thanks for posting!
