It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Well, Epik certainly still hasn't caught up with everything...

For one of my NameLiquidate purchases (from over a week ago) I was charged a renewal fee. Domain still not renewed, and no refund. Let's see if one if the 10 new support staff sort it out for me. lol

And I noticed that another NL purchase from NL was totally reversed at some stage. I was charged for the domain and the renewal. Domain was never delivered and I see now the following entries in my account (both backdated to the purchase date). Just annoying that they notify you by email of the purchase, but never bother to notify you of the fact they just aren't going to bother delivering it.

Apparently, NL is no longer a fair marketplace either... There was another domain I had bid on a few days ago. My bid had been accepted at $9. Now that domain has a minimum bid of $500. So it seems the seller has been allowed to change the reserve after listing (and after bids were accepted). That's not how a reverse auction is supposed to work. Can't wait till my credit is used up and I can get out of there.

There was a mention of other compliance issues ("ICANN conducted compliance check to determine other
areas of noncompliance.") in the breach notice. If ICANN proceeds with termination after 22nd June 2023, then this will be a disaster for Epik (old and new) and for those victims still owed money.

If ICANN decides to terminate... Will that start right after the 22nd? Or do they first give notice or something?

iow, worst case scenario, how much time is left to get your domains out?

We'll keep trying to fix things.

Who's we?

Please check this account and demand verification.

It is obviously Rob Monster. No "new" owner would post with so much emotion, in all directions. There are so many tells in those posts it is laughable if he is actually trying to remaining anon.

Quick question... So much info in this thread and I can't seem to find it...

Is there any proof the deal between Epik Holdings and Epik LLC has actually finalised?

The breach notice already states that if the breaches are not cured by June 22nd then ICANN will commence the termination process. ICANN may post the termination notice but it will not be a short process. The sale of Epik complicates things.

iow, worst case scenario, how much time is left to get your domains out?
With a deaccredited registrar, domain names are transferred to a successor registrar, or registrars. The successor registrar would be appointed by ICANN. This is the PDF that details the procedure:

No. We only have their word for it, which is not worth much.

Let's be honest, it is not like any assets are actually moving anywhere. No moving trucks are showing up.

They are simply moving on paper.

This is an attempt to sign a few sheets of paper to absolve yourself of certain debts, especially those owed to customers.

I don't see a reason why anyone should pay attention to the anonymous coward posting as "Epik LLC".

The notion that Monster and Royce "saved" Epik is ludicrous on its face. Saved it from what, exactly? Yes, Royce's pathological lack of concern for customers "saved" Epik from Monster's larcenous mismanagement and misuse of funds. Whoopee. I "saved" a bunch of people's lives one day when I decided not to veer the bus I was driving off of a cliff.

What is it, exactly, that Epik needed to be "saved" from?

What utter nonsense.

I know the lander says that, but does he really?

The domain is registered at GoDaddy. Even if Rob moved his domains somewhere else, because he referred to the Epik company as being "hijacked" would he really use GoDaddy...after all the shit he has talked about them over the years?

I noticed Toki.com is at GoDaddy as well. I have not checked the rest.

Brad
If he was brokering the domain and Epik LLC has explained that they don't have escrow, how would that work?

Sorry to hear about your continued troubles and thanks for sharing details on how NL is "working" since the "sale".

We will not be offering aftermarket, escrow, crypto, or any of the alternative resilient ecosystem ideas. Just domain registration and management.

So WHO is actually running NameLiquidate???
According to the "poster" they don't offer aftermarket, but according to NL's website quote: "A service of Epik. com"!! So is "Old Epik" still running NL OR is this seemingly another lie / contradiction by the "poster"???

The reason why Epik Holdings was $160 million was because of Epik and Terra Host. Epik and Terra Host sold for $4.9 million. So Epik Holdings isn't $160 million.

Why ICA org is not helping domainers recover their funds? They collect dues from domainers to protect domainers rights. This is clearly a legal matter, clearly rights been violated. @jberryhill @bmugford

So "New Epik" might be backdating unwanted changes to when "Old Epik" was in charge!!!
That sounds really sketchy...I wonder if "Old Epik" agreed to that being done???
Also means that anyone still using new/old Epik services should screenshot their transactions and immediately email the screenshots to an email address the user owns (for future date/time proof, if things get backdated changes later on).

Is there evidence of a deal to buy Epik's registration business? Maybe this is the same fantasy of the Monster as the existence of Royce?

Did they collect any from you?

I can't imagine what it is you would think ICA would be able to do.

Right, I proposed this the other day. In my view, it's Rob Monster. I believe he used the MasterBucks and Escrow money that so many of Epik's customers have reported stolen to fund the acquisition of Epik's assets. It's criminal, in my view.

There was no masterbucks or escrow money left, it was investor money.

Regarding my previous post. This would make perfect sense as the registrar remains to be a total shit show, judging from issues still being reported.

According to you when domainers rights violated ICA is completely useless and only an idiot would contribute to them. Thanks for clearing it for us

That's a very loose interpretation... twisting words maybe even...

Is there any proof the deal between Epik Holdings and Epik LLC has actually finalised?
As far as I know, there is NO proof of ANYTHING in that regard.
These are currently the only known FACTS (in chronological order).
#1. A company was incorporated in WY with the word Epik in it.
#2. ICANN shows Epik in "Breach".
#3. The RICO lawsuit was settled.
#4. Someone is posting on NP claiming they are the "New" "Epik" without providing any proof.
#5. Epik privacy whois service address was updated to an INVALID address (mix-up of the WA & WY addresses, see #1).
#6. NP is letting whoever it is get away with #4. IMHO unless / until a NP account is verified by NP as a stated entity ANY posting AS an entity should be considered impersonation and result in a permanent auto-ban of the poster & account. Very simple solution is to verify first with NP and then post. Don't allow the cart before the horse.
#7. Recent reports from customers state that "Epik" is STILL having domain / transaction / payment issues.

If I missed anything, please let me know.

ICANN gave notice in their "Breach" that if the issues were not resolved -- with satisfactory proof, the issues won't be repeated -- the registrar termination process would START after 21 days. Also, please note that if a registrar IS terminated the notice will be posted on ICANN's website the SAME day it is issued (the Breach notification IS the "early warning" a termination might happen. Typically terminated registrars are given about 2 weeks before they are officially kaput -- to help facilitate the transfer out of all domains -- but that is a case-by-case basis I assume, likely depending on the reason(s) for termination as well as how cooperative the registrar is / has been with the process.

HOWEVER keep in mind the "Breach" was BEFORE the alleged sale of the registrar which seemingly requires ICANN's approval of the sale & approval of the "new" registrar owner(s) BEFORE it happens. As a result, if the alleged sale ALREADY happened without ICANN's pre-approval, ICANN will probably be very unhappy about the blatant disregard for their precious RAA.

Worst case scenario....
The worst case scenario by TIME is it is already too late (customer reports of inaction with basic domain functions are STILL occurring, ie domains not being renewed, domains won not being added to user account, etc.).

The worst case scenario OVERALL that I can think of -- there could be worse scenarios out there -- is if ICANN decides Epik sold the registrar without authorization to an unauthorized party. ICANN could theoretically terminate the RAA effective immediately and only allow transfers out of Epik. If that were to happen, Epik wouldn't have any way to make any income -- in which case -- it would be reasonable to assume Epik could just cut their losses, turn off the power, lock the doors, and leave. Giving ICANN the unenviable task of cleaning up the "drippy bag".

I am pretty sure there have been prior registrar failure(s) where the registrar just "gave up" and went incommunicado after receiving a "Breach" notification from ICANN, since the registrar couldn't afford to fix the issues causing the Breach, so something similar to the above scenario has likely already happened in the past.

Hi @ksusha64.

I am a member of the ICA. I am not sure how many others post on NamePros.

ICA is a relatively small organization, that tends to focus on more broad issues.

ICA does have some "wins" like for instance it was heavily involved in the campaign against the .ORG private equity takeover, that was eventually rejected. That would have been a bum deal for every registrant.

There are rare times that the ICA was involved in helping resolve a specific situation, like when GoDaddy wrongfully locked Brent Oxley's domains. However, that situation was relatively straightforward and GoDaddy cooperated in resolving it.

I wish the ICA could do more, but this is an extremely complex situation with little clarity.
It is unclear what they could really do.

Look at the extraordinary lengths that Adkisson had to go to in order to recover his $300K+ "escrow" funds from a year ago. It took a RICO lawsuit and a TRO motion to compel Epik to actually "do the right thing" and return his money.

Thanks Brad for logical explanation. That makes a lot of sense. I am happy ICA helps on some occasions when it can. You fully answered my questions and convinced me ICA has great use.
