The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Other thing I not see how to show domains which are not added to a category so I can decide to add them to one.
Maybe add to Table View settings so we can enable Category to display in the list.

Hello Dan
I like how you have copy and implemented all those options into Dan from my domainnature website, which i was not able to implement completely.
But you are missing one thing, if there is no BIN the buyer should be able to rent, make a offer and ask price request even without BIN, so he can choose what to do from the available options. Currently if you enable price request it disables all the other options. Maybe I m missing the logic behind this.
You realize its idiotic to have a bin price and a price request at the same time? Its an either or type thing.

How can you rent if there is no BIN ? How would the system offer you pricing on the rental ? Likewise the BIN is what you would be requesting, so why would you have both at the same time ?

You people understand wrong, what I mean is let Price Request to be alongside with Rent and make offer.

"How can you rent if there is no BIN ?"

Rent and Lease are functions that require a pre set price or they will not offer you months, rates or fees.

@LaszloSchenk when a user is required to verify IDs, are users allowed to at least add a "physical watermark" (e.g. a tape with the words "FOR DAN ONLY") on non-critical areas of the ID document? So many sites these days get hacked so easily, so I hope users are allowed to take precautions to prevent any unforeseen ID thefts.
Since my question hasn't been answered yet I'll repeat it just one more time in case:

Good morning @iTesla,

Could you contact our support with this inquiry so that they can look at your account for you? A lot is already provided that could help you identify such things. However, if anything is missing, contacting our support directly will help identify those blindspots and in turn help us improve our service offerings.

Good morning,

Apologies if this was overlooked.

When a user is required to submit an ID it is send to our KYC department only. It will not be requested through chat or support as there is a fixed way of processing any such sensitive data. Once the user is verified the details will not get stored to prevent any other things from happening with the data.

Best regards,

I think the question of @eternaldomains is about apps like these, and whether Dan accepts such proof:

Yes you can, renting is like a subscription recurring monthly payment, it must not be tied to BIN in fact it is like BIN but with monthly payments, and you can enable Rental at DAN alongside Make Offer without BIN enabled.
The lease to own is tied to BIN i know about this.

My question was why Price Request can't be enabled alongside Rental and Make Offer, is it dependent on BIN?
Because enabling Price Request disables all the other options. I need to understand what happens after price request, then I may have the answer.

where it is ?
Good morning @davidc1,

My apologies for the confusion. This indeed is for domains parked with us but with no active for sale page or for domain names that have been sold. We have not opted this in for the active for sale pages as it will increase the decision making process of a buyer. Rather than buying it on the spot for perhaps a higher price, there is a good chance that one will rather postpone a purchase with the hopes of getting a lower price.

It would be nice to let buyer decide to have this form on their landing.
It would also be nice to see a portfolio/column with the number of subscribed potential buyer who optin per domain.

How long does it take Dan to process first transaction?
Good morning @Jsw,

When your first sale is conducted some additional checks are being performed only once. This means that the first transaction aften closes anywhere within 24-48 hours if nothing deviates from what is expected. Once this is done the following sales will get processed at the speed we are known for.

Do you require any help or clarifications? If so, I strongly recommend to consult our customer support.

Have a nice weekend ahead.

Dan brokerage service questions:

1. Who is handling the Dan brokerage service these days?

2. What is the fee for using this brokerage?

3. Do we still pay 9% on top of that fee, or no?

Thanks.

Why DAN does not show domain expiration dates in a column in the domains for sale dashboard? Even with private WHOIS the domain expiration date is publicly available. DAN should automatically detect the expiration date and show it so that we can easily remove expired domains from portfolio?

Other aftermarket domain services offer such a feature.

Why do I ask, you ask? I just received email from DAN saying they deleted an expired domain from my domain portfolio and not to keep expired domains in portfolio or else the account could be suspended.

With 100's or 1000's of domains in portfolio, it is VERY time consuming to constantly check and manually remove expired domains. At least showing a column for domain expiration date would allow us to sort by the expiration date column and easily bulk remove expired domains.

It is not uncommon where a domain can't be added to DAN because another DAN user has let it expire and they have not removed it from their portfolio. I don't think it's because they don't want to, it's just not easy to sift through 100's of domains and figure out which ones have expired without any easy reference. So then you have to contact DAN request domain to be added, they then have to manually delete the expired domain from other DAN users account and then manually add it to your account.

@LaszloSchenk can you please bring this to the attention of the DAN dev team and ask why is showing domain expiration date not a feature? This would save everyone including DAN support a lot of needless time and trouble since it would make it super easy to find/remove expired domains from our DAN portfolios.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

I agree with DAN here. Just have discipline removing your expired or sold domains immediately, not "periodically".

I can do this with ~11,000 domains on 3 aftermarket platforms, and so can (and should) you.

Here's another "Why" question for @LaszloSchenk or anyone else:

Let's say a potential buyer makes an offer on one of our names within the Dan.com system. Now let's say we make a counter offer, but the buyer either declines or ignores our counter. Why does the ability to accept the buyer's original offer go away? What if we change our mind and decide to accept his original offer? Why aren't we able to click on "accept" for the offer that he has already made?

At first glance, DAN traffic stats don't appear to be too accurate and/or could be showing a lot of bot activity.

In fact, the graph data doesn't seem to match the numerical results shown in the seller's dashboard.

Dan users, any helpful feedback?

@LaszloSchenk Do you have any updated statistics about which lander has the best STR between Standard, Brandable and Minimalistic?

And do you still advise sellers to display info about themselves, or does this confuse more than help buyers? Thank you.

Good morning

Thank you for raising this topic again. Let me revert back to the team and bring this up for discussion again. I understand that it could be useful to users. That being said, we have sellers who have the ability to manage large portfolio's while still maintaining the integrity of their inventory. Outdated listings are being removed to ensure faulty sales do not take place. It still remains our users responsibility to ensure a clean inventory but anything that we can do to help should be put up for discussion!

All the best,
