Why do I pin this on the Leftist , because the ideaologies they do idolize and want are Leftist ideologies , bigger government , less freedoms . Socialism , Marxism , Darwinism and especially “Fascism” was created by the Leftist of the world . Those have never been a Right belief . Yet the left has pure punks called Antifa , that say they they fight the Right because they are Fascist , which the Right did not invent and do not believe in .

Saving the future for our children is one form of progress.

Essentially everybody wants to save the future for our children. There are a handful who just don't care. There is a much larger number who have convinced themselves that their path will save the children, even as it conveniently aligns with their core political beliefs and/or ability to profit.

A Marxist sees a solution that conveniently destroys private business, a multi-billionaire sees a solution that will make him a trillionaire, a power-hungry politician sees a solution that will make her more powerful.

One thing is clear, politics is filled with some dangerously stupid people and people of low moral character. So, lack of progress in the political arena is not necessarily a bad thing.

The era of the nation-state is coming to an end, though it will fight back and it will be messy. The "solutions" being offered are mostly scams that will make things worse.

Any real solution needs to be from people working together. Right now, Americans are too violently divided to do that.

Dozens of people running for election to congress in November. Congress is split in half, the House of Representatives and the Senate;

Each state elected two Senators for six year terms.

The number of Representatives for the House are determined by population. Small states like Maine or Montana have few Rep's than California or Texas. Representatives are elected for two year terms.

So every year there is a variable number of people running for congressional office. This year the Republicans are heavily favored due to mismanagement of the economy and incompetent leadership of Joe Biden's handlers.
