It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I will write 15 negative reviews on Trustpilot somewhere by October 15. By this time, it will become clear whether Epik will give money. If there is no positive result by October 15, I will have to prepare an appeal to the court.

Each day of the blocking of funds by Epik deserves a negative review. The only thing is that you should try to write them in a variety of ways so that they don't get boring.

So it seems TrustPilot is more like TrustPivot

By the way, the domain master-bucks.com was registered in July 2020 and the registrant has paid for Godaddy privacy.
That site seems to operate some kind of rewards service, and though it gives no info about who runs it, it does have an extensive ToS page at https://master-bucks.com/terms.php which says:

GOVERNING LAW

1-These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Middle East and North Africa, MENA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Now back to Epik's Munsterbucks - in the absence of any ToS it's not clear what, if any, obligations they really have to users. And they are probably free to re-evaluate the Munsterbucks and create a new exchange rate to the USD, you may get a new rate of exchange on 10 October, it might be pennies on the dollar.

Surprising that payment processors would allow use with a system with no ToS - but then Paypal did quit Epik.

This was reported in 2020 - https://www.engadget.com/paypal-terminates-epik-over-digital-currency-182020052.html - when Paypal dumped Epik because of how Epik ran their own virtual currency:
If the leak is accurate, the company was offering an illegal currency despite warnings. That’s all the reason PayPal would need to sever ties, regardless of an account holder’s political leanings.

https://mashable.com/article/epik-domain-names-paypal-proud-boys

“PayPal has sophisticated risk controls in place to alert our teams to potentially violative activity occurring on our platforms,” said a PayPal spokesperson in a statement to Mashable. “The company independently reviews each matter and bases its decisions on the management of risk and compliance with our long-standing User Agreement.”

A source close to the situation put the issue more bluntly: money laundering.

The source said that the problem lies with Epik’s digital currency. The domain registrar runs its own “alternative currency” called Masterbucks, which can be used to purchase products sold by Epik or converted into U.S. dollars.

According to the source, Epik has not gone through the appropriate legal steps to run Masterbucks, and was encouraging tax evasion. An archived version of the Masterbucks page promotes its "tax advantages.

I was offered to contact a journalist.
I have many journalists with whom I have contacts on Linkedin.
Are they interested in this topic?
After all, they write about technical topics.

Each day of the blocking of funds by Epik deserves a negative review. The only thing is that you should try to write them in a variety of ways so that they don't get boring.

Both are great points. Challenge Accepted!!! I appreciate your stand for justice.

Did TrustPilot notify you when and why it was removed?

Brad
Because I called them scammers. TrustPilot didn't notify me either but I can't see the comment again

If you leave reviews keep it factual. I sold domain on blank date for blank amount and cannot withdraw funds for however many days or weeks now.

TBH, one quick Google search there are plenty of bad reviews for Epik just from this site. Thats not including all the other Rob controversies.

We need to fight Epik like in the story "The Mexican" by Jack London.

"Then he remembered they were the guns. The guns were his. The Revolution could go on."

A few tips for reviewers @ trustpilot

You can write a review if you’ve had a recent, genuine experience.

Just keep it fresh by writing about your experience that happened in the past 12 months.

When you share your recent experiences, other readers get a feel for how a company is operating now.

Don’t make up an experience or write a review for someone else — leave it to them to write their own review.

Hold onto documentation that shows you’ve had an experience with the company (for example, a receipt, order confirmation, screenshot of your chat with online customer service) because you might be asked to verify your experience.

We expect you to be a respectful contributor to our platform. So play nice, don’t be a jerk. Don’t post anything harmful, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory or obscene. And don’t lie, bully, blackmail, make threats or do anything illegal.

We're a platform that sits between consumers and businesses, so we have to balance competing responsibilities: We want to let everyone tell their story (good or bad), but we're also required to take down words and statements that unjustly cause significant damage to people's reputations or serious financial loss to a business.

You need a user account to post a review. Just like your first kiss, you only get one user account and it should involve a real person. Your username, profile description and picture must reflect who you are (don’t go impersonating other people, thanks) and can’t be harmful, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory or obscene — because everyone can see your profile! If you do include something you shouldn’t, or you create more than one account, we can delete your account/s.

Your review is owned by you. That means you can edit, update or delete your review at any time. You’re encouraged to update an existing review if you want to add more information about a particular experience. And while it’s fine to write more than one review for a business if you’ve had more than one experience, please don’t bombard a business with lots of reviews, because that’s not helpful for anyone.

Honestly, it would appear as logical to me you can only write 1 review for the same matter.

If you answer you can write again a review for the same company after 24 hours, OK, but I would assume it's about something else, or another order. Not the same thing. It wouldn't bother me if TrustPilot is deleting these multiple reviews from the same person (I don't think they should exist in the first place).

The deletion of single reviews, and with no notification, yeah, that's bad. But I have already seen this, so I'm not really surprised :/ Usually it's after the company asked for it, because of the language, because it's supposedly "defamatory", because they claim it's false and not an actual customer, etc.

TrustPilot easily goes along with the company requests, it seems.

Neither Epik.com nor Nameliquidate.com will load. I wonder if there is a connection (pun intended).

Edit: They load now.

Edit: Down again.

Maybe they want to combine all websites into a Masterliquidate?

If anybody is paid, then, for the reasons of fairness, they should of course edit the original review and/or post a new one. Also, it appears that trustpilot accepts for example a chat with a customer service (with a screenshot in hand!) as a separate "experience". So, even if somebody posted something yesterday, but had a chat with a customer support today - he should be very welcome to review this new experience @ trustpilot.

These self-centered puppets from epik were partying while we were disturbed and now, when we start exposing their negligence, they started crying over here. LOL!

To those all who wrote a bad review on trustpiot: Congra, We are winning.

I am not sure if this was posted earlier in this long discussion, but here is a link when Epik acquired MasterBucks and replaced EpikBucks with it, in 2011. It outlines what they saw as the role of MasterBucks. I am not sure if the content roles ever took off.

https://www.epik.com/blog/introducing-masterbucks-epiks-online-barter-currency.html

The domain name was just registered in 2010, so I take it that it must have been a new company when Epik acquired it in 2011, but can't find more about its early days.

By the way, I can't seem to find a TM registered for MasterBucks, which seems surprising, and maybe from some area I did not search.

From Epik support chat:

There is currently an on going issue with the website. Our Tech Team is aware and are working on the issue. It should be resolved within the next few hours. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's not just the one site. Could be a broader issue at play:
