The USA accepts about a million legal immigrants a year. Joe Biden has practically eliminated border security, instead using Border Patrol and DHS to process and transport about 100,000 illegal aliens every month throughout the USA, driving up the cost of rent, food, healthcare, education, etc..
I think his open border policy is a net negative on both legal immigration, refugees and people trying to migrate illegally.
Traveling across the southern border is controlled on the Mexican side by criminal organizations.
With thousands crossing everyday, it is impossible to vaccinate that many people, so besides corona, there will be spikes in TB, parasite infections, etc..
Criminals using the chaos to exploit people for sex trafficking, extortion, drug smuggling. Adults and children are murdered, drown in the river, die in the desert.
I'm not anti-immigration but I'm not for open borders. It would be hard but much safer to raise the legal quota and screen people in their countries of origin, process asylum claims, etc.
It's a shame the leftist radicals in charge of the USA put ideology above everything, including common sense, critical thinking, problem solving and rationality.
