DAN.COM (formerly known as Undeveloped.com) is on a path to be become the biggest domain marketplace in the world. We use state of the art technology to solve everyday problems buyers and sellers in the domain industry face. At DAN.COM we focus on automating most processes required to buy & sell domains to increase a more efficient and active secondary market for domains.

What sets us apart is our strong focus on product development and customer satisfaction. We leave nothing to chance and every single feature and element we introduce is professionally and carefully designed and built.

DAN.COM is ranked in the top 5 best-rated marketplaces in the world (According to the biggest review platform Trustpilot) and in the domain industry, we're the domain marketplace with the highest rating with an average of 9,4 out of 10 points.

At DAN.COM you will get the highest value for the lowest commission around. Due to our domain transfer automation, we can offer significantly faster handling of domain transactions and payouts (usually within 24 hours) at the lowest fee charged by any domain marketplace.

We've been the first on many fronts and proudly will continue to keep innovating. We were the first to offer optimized for sale pages since 2013, the first to provide payment plans in the form of lease to own and rentals and also the first and only domain marketplace offering free SSL on all domains parked with us for over a year now.

I don't want to leak the domain names in the bank documents, your system puts them into comments for wires...

Hello @Jurgen Wolf

When was the last time you saw your sold domain name in the comment field? I used to see it in 2020 with payments originating from DAN with their bank account at FRANX, but not in 2021. There may be a difference with several international banks and currency conversions, and the accompanying descriptions on bank statements.

Hello,

You are right.
Looks that DAN already fixed this very long story.
I just rechecked my recent wire, it doesn't leak.

Thanks @LaszloSchenk, I indeed completely missed that.

For the Buy-now transactions that get redirected to Dan checkout, what is the commission there? Does that count as "own lead" therefore is at 5%?

Thanks again,

Al
Good morning Alexej K,

This is correct!

Have a great day.

Hi @LaszloSchenk, I reached out to support to ask for API integration access, and I was told that I won't be given one since I don't have "an integration plan" - what's going on?

Thanks,

Alex

Hi @LaszloSchenk, What is the sort order when buyers view the list of names of a seller. It looks like names are sorted by length, which I don’t think is very helpful. Have you considered sorting by popularity (number of views)? I think that could lead to more offers by moving the “better” names to the top.

@LaszloSchenk can buyer cancel transaction after payment has been secured by Dan? Just thoughts but I’ll like to know what’s Dan’s position.

@LaszloSchenk ,

I would appreciate if Dan does not contact my buyer with an email after they have made a purchase, to inform them they can also sell their domains. You got paid your commission so why use the data of my buyer to contact them to sell their domain which they don't use?Without me bringing the customer ,you wouldn't be able to send those email.

Can you please stop doing that ?if it's in your TOS,can you please point that out .

Hi Alex,

I’m repeating what we told you via support as well: if an integrator like DNWE, Efty or United Domains wants to use our API they have to submit an integration plan. Based on that plan and if your plan matches our API requirements we can grant you access to it.

If you do not wish to tell us for what exact purpose you want to use our API for then we simply cannot grant you access.

Good morning @wrolie,

Thank you for contacting us.

We most certainly have considered it and actually have this and alternative options already listed with our product team for review. We will let you know in case anything changes on this front.

Have a great day!

Good morning @samuel12,

Thank you for contacting us.

In general, a transaction cannot be terminated. Especially transactions that already got paid for cannot be terminated. Of course, there are some rare corner cases that we review on a case-to-case basis but as indicated this rarely occurs!

Have a great day.

@DAN.COM What do you mean by "If you do not wish to tell us for what exact purpose you want to use our API for"??

I told you in the message that I have my own website that I want to integrate a Buy-Now button with, and you responded with "Send us a 1 page integration proposal and we'll evaluate"

So on one hand we have @LaszloSchenk saying here that API is available to users:

Good morning Alexej K,

... the API currently is available to our users and can be implemented in two different ways:

1. There is an easy integration where your buy now transactions can be fully automated on your own website/shop. The buyers that use a buy now button on your website will automatically get redirected to our checkout and will enjoy our transfer service.
... .

You also mention absolutely NOTHING about Integration plan being a requirement, or that the API is currently closed on the DAN API page here: "To get access to the API the integrator needs to create a new account at DAN.COM. When you have saved your company and payout details are set, you can contact our support team so we'll be able to upgrade that account into an integrator account."

On the other hand you're telling me in a message that API integration is closed to public and needs to "fit your API objectives"

So maybe you should align on the communication strategy and the messaging you share with your users, before you start pulling things out of the hat, and then wondering why are your own users confused.

The fact that you're coming here saying that I'm refusing to tell you what the purpose is, as to flip this on me, is ridiculous.

Al

I want to integrate a Buy-Now button
It's likely more subtile than that. For a buy now button, you don't need an integration with the "Integrator API", you just need the seller's API.
And this one is more accessible. Just ask for this one, and that way, you can access the price of any of your domains (or from the pool).
Then, server-side only (Don't disclose that key for your security!), you can get the buy-now price of the given domain.

Good morning,

This could take up to 5 days but often get concluded within 24 hours after submitting the required documents already.

Do you currently have a payout pending? If so, please contact our chat support and give us the details. In turn, we will make sure to ping the allocated persons to get this sorted for you.

Have a great day.

Can I ask whether Dan accepts domain pushes for domains registered at Epik?(if sold within 60 days)

Can someone please confirm this preferably from Dan?

Read on the forum that things were not rosy between Dan and Epik.

Dear,

Could you send me a dm with the email used to submit it as well as where it was sent to? Our inbox was empty yesterday in a timely fashion. The average response time was within 15 minutes as well and no messages have been left unanswered. I would like to verify where this went wrong in this case to ensure nothing gets overlooked or your inquiries arrive with our support desk.

Best regards,

Via message to their team - it works.
DANbot doesn't offer Epik push.
This is from my experience in October'2020.
